The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast selections were very good although there's no "hot" breakfast options such as eggs. They made delicious homemade desserts in the mornings. I stayed in the Fire Room that has a big outdoor balcony that is like having another room in addition to your hotel room. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. They are all happy to answer any questions you have and provide extra information about the area and Slovenia in general. Room is spacious and the house has a nice garden where you can relax. Really close to shops, bus stops and of course lake bled itself. Highly recommend staying here. Vila Alica is the hotel you are looking for. It has such a lovely atmosphere and is located in such a beautiful area. We stayed in a room at the back of the property with a sitting area and a gorgeous bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they welcomed us with cookies, cake and a drink of the area's signature honey brandy. Couldn't be better. Easy to find B and B one street behind the lake. Very nicely furnished in a modern style. Our room was large and on the top floor. Stunning views through Velux windows. All the staff were extremely helpful. We sent out laundry (unusual for us) as we were on a two week tour which was returned ironed and folded for Euro15! a bargain in any country!. Our room #3 was a larger room and fantastic. We were with a few friends as well. There are plenty of areas to sit around downstairs if you don't want to venture out or if you want to have a rest and read. Alice was one of the best places I've stayed so there's not much negative to say about it!. WiFi. Need to pay 5 euro extra per 24 hours for this. Considering the price they charge for the room, I think it would have been nice for them to include that as part of the room charge. What's not to like?. Nothing much!. Loved it all. breakfast for the price could have more choice;but still good. No lake view, but I knew that before I booked. Location on busy road and too many stairs to the top floor. The only bad thing was you had to pay for WiFi. Nothing. The free bottle of red wine. It was DISGUSTING. Other than that, we LOVED this place. The breakfast, could be more choice. overpriced and no free wifi :(. The jacuzzi was not hot enough. No service after 18.00h, no facilities (lounge, bar, TV room etc.). More like a Bed and Breakfast than a hotel. Consequently it was expensive considering the quality.
