The atmosphere was unique and enjoyable and the staff welcoming and friendly, going out of their way to help us arrange for tours and cabs. The location was convenient and about a 10 minute walk to the city center, although we spent much of our time in the charming bars and restaurants around the hotel. They provide a wonderful breakfast spread in the morning that suits just about everyones tastes and preferences. The restaurant at the hotel had some of the best cuisine we expereinced in Krac.
all reviews » Everything! Monica/Monique was a doll. She served us breakfast every morning and did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. She packed us lunches to take on our tour to Auschwitz which was very kind. This place had a fabulous restaurant serving Polish/Jewish cuisine and live music during dinner. Amazing! Make a reservation ahead!!!! The rooms were great! Spacious and comfortable! We will stay here over and over! Loved this lace!!!!!. This is a charming small hotel which is rooted back in the 1930s. The room we were allocated was very large and free bottled water was supplied every day. No mugs here tea and coffee is served in beautiful china cups. Breakfast is a cold buffett but scrambled eggs were offered. Dinner whilst listening to Klezmer music is a must. The atmosphere and individuality of the hotel was superb. If staying would encourage guests to have a meal at the hotel to include the traditonal jewish music . It was like being transported to pre war Poland. The atmosphere of the hotel is wonderful, real old-world charm. The breakfasts were excellent. The location is superb. The Jewish evening was outstanding. Location - not having tv in room. Interior decor. Not a damn thing!. Nothing at all- no complaints whatsoever. That we only stayed one night.My friend had a smaller room than mine and the view wasn't as great. Besides, traffic noise started early. Ask for a room with a view on the square. Some noise from trams early in the morning. Can be a bit noisy. No air conditioning in the room. That you had to pay for the music even when booking a meal in the hotel restaurant and being a guest staying at this hotel. Room No 15 faces the square and the noise of the trams continues throughout the night. Hot water was a problem in the mornings as it would seem the boiler in our room served the next door room as well. Would be better if hotel provided tea making facilities in the room. Hotel room was not clean enough, the lighting in the room and hallways is not adequate. No hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities,mini fridge and hotel guide/information in room. No emergency/fire escape plan evident.
