As soon as I booked this apartment, I received an email from the hotel asking if my husband and I needed a transfer from the airport. This was a very kind gesture because it made it very easy for us to not have to worry about finding a ride to the hotel. I had also requested a room on the garden side of the hotel as I am pregnant and wanted a quieter nights sleep (after reading the the city center side was a bit more loud), and as requested, the hotel provided us with a room on the back side. all reviews » We stayed in Krakow at May. Hotel occupies the 1st floor in old building. There are two types of rooms with view on the internal yard or on the street. Both are ok. Yard is silent (bird's songs at the morning). Noise till to 4-5 a.m. from the street in the second case (no condition system - window was open at the night), more vital and dynamic view. Ideal location (close to the Market Square and Wawel Castle). Good helpful staff. Facilities are ok. Good ratio price-quality. The location was most convenient just on the edge of the Stare Miasto and beside tram route and taxi stand. The apartment or bed sitter was spacious, extremely clean and the bathroom modern with a walk in shower. Kitchen facilities within the room. Our apartment no. 2 was quiet at night. It was secure and comfortable we enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful with tours. Reliable wifi connection. Value for money. We liked everything, we couldn't fault it, from the reception people sorting out our transfers to and from airport to wifi in the room - it was an excellent experience and will definitely be staying there again - in fact just emailed to ask availability for september when I intend to go back with another group of friends. Right in the middle of everything. Less than half a block from the main square, lots of places to eat and drink nearby. Room faced the courtyard so was very quiet. We had apartment no. 7 so had a small kitchen area with sink, mini bar style fridge and kettle and also 2 cooking rings if you need to cook but resta. very central position. The only thing I would put on here is that there are no black out blinds, but why would you need them? You're in krakow to explore, so wake up to the beautiful sun! Reviewers make it sound like it was a bad thing, but it didn't bother my husband or myself one bit. We're morning people. If you're really picky then take an eye mask. It's really not a problem. Loves this hotel!. Keep in mind that nobody from staff will be at the desk after 7 p.m. (it's necessary to inform them before about later arriving). Card like "Please clean the room/Do not disturb" is absent. Two flights of stairs to carry luggage up. Entry and exit of building was confusing at first. Not one English speaking television channel available. Hot water extremely hot, burnt arm on shower tap fitting. The only real objection was the comforter. It was not as wide as the bed. Not a deal breaker but seemed a bit odd considering the rest of the appointments. I don't have any bad opinion about this Hotel. Everything was great!. You have to be careful if your sleep is light and you get the room facing the street. We stayed over the week-end, and both nights drunk people were singing songs or shouting until 5 am. It didn't bother me much, but could be a big disappointment, when you can't get a good night's sleep. Our taxi driver brought us to the apartment and gave us the key, however,there was a mix up with our arrival time and we wasted an hour waiting in our apartment for the owner to come meet us. I would recommend to phone the owner upon arrival to avoid this happening to any other clients. No complaints. Absolutely nothing! Fantastic stay. Nothing. As noted in the apartment details there is no lift so if climbing stairs is a problem you may need to look else where. But, the stairs were no issue for us. I liked everything. If you're really desperate for some criticism, I suppose I could say a spacious wardrobe and chest of drawers would have meant that the room had everything. It's located on the 2nd floor and there's no lift. Be prepared to carry your luggages up a long flight of stairs. As our room was facing the street it was noisy, some earplugs helped, they have rooms overlooking courtyard as well that should be quiet. Was a bit too hot - thermostats in the rooms would be good. Some international TV - eg BBC World Service or Sky News. Bit moist if you get a room overlooking the street. The noise from the air conditioning at the back of the hotel. Can get noisy as people head home from bars. Abit noisy but central so made up for it. No block out curtains and was waking up early every morning, as a result! Rooms above Grodska can be a little noisy from the street traffic. no lift. Tours were expensive. Front of hotel rooms a bit noisy at night!. Bit more coffee and tea available. Its very noisy outside. The square is only a few footsteps away so you can hear the hustle and bustle of people late into the night and early morning. The clip clop of horses drawing their carriages and shops and bars getting their deliveries in the early hours of the morning. We even had a duo of guitarists practicing around 6am one day before they set off busking for the day. bad quality of the bed and sheets but most of all the noise, on a Monday night we had so much noise of drunk people that we did not sleep before 5am!. There was a lot of noise from the street. This made going to sleep difficult and I woke up very early every morning.
