Superb service from the moment we arrived- we were early but were escorted out to the pool side personally by the reception manager and then our room keys brought to us within the hour. We were welcomed at the pool with a cold box of chilled water bottles, an umbrella and unlimited fluffy towels......need I say more! Superb and very personal service. The lagoon pools are worth paying extra for and room service included poolside breakfasts on your own private patio. Food excellant and happy hour.
all reviews » Truly one of the best experiences we've ever had. Hotel rooms are very clean and well equipped. Hotel staff show a unique friendliness, they are extremely attentive and supportive. Garden and beach facilities are very clean and extensive, so you enjoy privacy even when the hotel is fully booked. Restaurants are not cheap, but food and service quality is excellent. The spa is currently being renovated. All in all, highly recommendable for those who enjoy perfect relaxation. A top notch hotel with good facilities. The grounds and beach were wonderful. It was easy to find a quiet area and just relax. Our room was very comfortable and the mountain view made a nice change from desert or sea facings options. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. A better option than The Chedi, and better value too. We liked anything about the hotel and the stay. Wonderful food, beautiful location and landscape, warm and very friendly staff, the architecture of the hotel looks like it's one of its kind. This hotel really deserves the name, we felt like we were in a palace during our short stay. the hotel was excellent. Extremely friendly staff who couldn't do too much for their guests. brilliant restaurants, bar and poolside service. The layout of the pools and grassed area is superb and together with a large, spotlessly clean sandy beach made for a great holiday. The accomodation was great. We booked a specific room at we were offered a better one on the arrival. The hotel is beautifull the lobby, gardens, swiming pools, beach, Tennis courts, Gym, kayaking, etc. Really beautifull, and bedroom amazing! Wonderfull days!. Recently refurbished under Ritz-Carlton management; comfortable room with all necessary amenities, including nespresso machine along with a kettle. Good healthclub, plus free daily exercise/stretching sessions. Lots of beach/pool loungers. The architecture of the hotel, specially the lobby, probably one of the most spectacular in the world. Price of drinks. Prices for food are high for a hotel that ins not exactly in the center. We had to take taxi to go to the center and they were expensive, so the only option for food was the hotel restaurants, expensive, even the beach bar was expensive. I think hotel should offer a mid price restaurant as an option for everyday use. Service charge on everything - including the room rate. The beach was not very clean, with specially a lot of pebbles and stones, making it difficult to walk. Nothing to do with Dubai, or other beaches in Oman. The cleaning service in the room was a bot patchy for such an hotel. Humidity was high at 75%. Ice and cold towels provided by the pool & sea would have been nice ... as we experienced this with Taj and Oberoi Hotels on our recent honeymoon to India. distance from attraction sights as taxi fares are high . - nothing. Bathrooms are relatively old and without standup shower. Further, at this time of the year (January) It would have been great if they had an outdoor cofeeshop, so people can enjoy the nice weather without having to look at people in their swimming suits at the beach or the pool. Isolated location from town centre needed a car. That we could only afford to stay for one night! This place is just perfect - can't imagine what anyone would find fault with!. Nothing. It was fully booked and we couldnt stay longer. baggage handling ( staff who takes the bags ) , implementing the service ( i requested the hotel that my wifes birthday is on a certain date but unfortunetly the request of cake and roses as promissed was not done !! i got a small chocolate mousse instead !! i have ordered a lemon with mint juice from the restaurant and i got it with out Sugar !!! generaly customer service is poor . May be hotel need to check on the water sink in the bathrooms as the water is very slow in going out unless you take off the sink plug. N/a. The concierge service was good but understaffed Deluxe rooms nice but 500 eur per night feels a bit much. Beach, water was not clear and clean. very expensive , the food is below avrage, bath is small. We were staying in the lagoon rooms and although they were very nice, there was often a sewerage smell in the area which was off putting. Service at pool sometimes not very good. Neil was wonderful . Outside areas at night after meal could be improved. We ended up outside on the terrace at the bar on 4 th floor.no atmosphere. Found room service slow. Price is on high side.. Expensive. nothing. I woke up at 5:30am due to a bug noise in the garden (mosquitoes machine). Lack of bars and restaurants. The buffet restaurant. Your rate was not as the rate on the hotel which my friend was able to secure buy two night get one night for free. Due to Eid, it was very busy and only the buffet was available in the restaurant,no a la carte menu. Shortage of staff capacity was used as an excuse a bit too often. Rules for dressing in dinner beach resturant I didn't understand it. Need more activity for kids. to expansive. city connection.
