Beautiful location overlooking the fjord and the Arctic Cathedral on the far side (the view is worth upgrading to a superior room). Friendly,helpful staff. Fantastic choice at breakfast - if you were there for 2 weeks you could have a different breakfast every day and still not cover all the combinations. Nice bar with panoramic views if you can afford the drink!. Very nice hotel, perfect location (although the location of most hotels in Tromso is quite good since the city is not too big). Also pickup- point for most day excursions. Very nice breakfast with fresh fruits. Good rooms with nice bed, sofa and good view. Hotel with good atmosphere.

Mr Dragoy is a fishmonger (Fisk Reker) just off Erling Bangsundsplass who has the best gravlax in Norway!. The young blonde woman at the front desk was wonderful. She was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and made walking in the front door feel welcoming. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the heated bathroom floors were incredible. Very comfortable with excellent location and breakfasts. Efficient and friendly staff. One of the best hotels we've stayed in,. Our superior room was quite small given the fairly high prices and could do with some drawer space to put things away. The drinks were extortionate, but seemed to match the prices elsewhere throughout Norway. No vegetarian options for dinner in the hotel restaurant, not too many foreign tv channels (most is Norwegian or Swedish). Not very cheap, but it's Norway... The hotel is a building site (and will remain so for some time) while a much-needed and extensive refurbishment takes place. The rooms were small with limited storage. But cozy. They tended to be warm even when turned down low, but the window opened which allowed cool air. Very expensive but as much due to the. Norwegian economy as anything else. nothing. cost - but that is just Tromso, not his hotel. In-room tea/coffee facilities would have been good. Room cold. The large vessel at the quayside. Some view of the life in Tromsøysundet was blocked. However, this is an acceptable risk which I accept. a bit expensive. some of the staff did not speak norwegian and were unpolite. Extra charge for a room viewing the harbor. wouldn't have stayed at this hotel if I'd been told about the refurbishment and noise in the morning. Shame that the ice wasn't cleared between the reception and the main road. Too expensive!. Bar staff were a bit reluctant to be helpful and seemed more interested in reading a newspaper. The room was clean in a basic way - the bathroom was good. The bed base and bed cushions were marked and made us feel the room was a bit uncared for or dirty. You need a kettle in the room.
