I appreciate the fact that the hostel is located outside the city center in a nice residential area next to a lake and up on a hill overlooking Oslo. It is a quite place. The 9 bedroom dorm is spacious enough. It is clean and staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is included in the price. Reception staff very helpful and welcoming. Good value esp if you take advantage of the breakfast. Lovely quiet rooms and fresh mountain air, but well connected to Oslo. Guest kitchen useful. Some epople find the location a negative, I thought it was perfect.

Aktivi sporting, pingball, gymnastic room, nice sitting place. Very specialist service. Excellent staff, really good breakfast included (food garden), big free parking, comfortable room and bed. Excellent for those who travels by car. Friendly staff always willing to help, clean spacious room. Modern buildings, friendly staff and beautiful surrounding area. - my room wasn't prepared at all, but I got discount - price. Free parking. buses don't run very often and for people wanting to stay in Oslo city center at night will have to take a taxi or walk there as buses don't run after a certain hour at night. Hall place. Water does not run off in the shower, very bad smell in the toilet and bathroom. Hostel locates far from city center, but there is tram and bus station in 15 min walk. Too far from city center, to get there you need take bus+bus or bus+metro. Quite difficult to find the path to the hostel when you have already left the bus, especially if you're going there late at night when it's dark. - need to get from metrostation to hostal or reverse - floor of rooms could be cleaner. From another side, the location is not as good, especially when you are travelling on a bike: the slope on the way from the city center is steep, and 7.5 km from the central railway station may take one hour and more to pass. I stayed 3 days and served same menu for breakfast, but foods are excellent. Far away from Oslo airport as well as Oslo central station. The hostel staff didn't have any Oslo transportation passes / tickets so I paid a lot for tickets in a very expensive country like Norway. There is a kitchen for guests to use but it was an effort to eventually track down a pan. Its not central Oslo and will put some off. Would have preferred if the rooms were a little cleaner. Difficoult to find. Far from center. Breakfast had no variety, rooms were bit cold (the glass window is not double sealed), rooms were not that clean, location is bit outside, the uphill walk is the problem, but once you reach the Gresen Stadion tram station you are well connected. A bit far away from the city centre. The location is not so easy to find. Way too far from the city centre. Buses run until about 12:30am roughly so if you Miss the last bus be prepared to fork out and arm and a leg for a taxi. Also the floors and doors are way to Noisy (creaky). Not recommending only because it's too far from the city. Otherwise nice place. - dirty - hard to find room in the building (first time in my life). Distance from Oslo center, bathroom and toilet not very clean.
