Value for money this hotel is spacious and the timely arrival of the coach buses seemed to fill the place with tourism atmosphere.The beds are so comfortable with a top quality thick mattress to lie on after the pool swim and spa.Definitely value for money and wifi is available in the foyer area I think it's free there are plenty of couches and chairs to access and a gym by the pool to work off those extra calories. The older porter guy was friendly and so was tipene they both deserve a pat on .
all reviews » I like everything about this hotel , location is good easy to find ,modern design .I've book a standard room for our staying , check in time was 2pm , we arrived at 3pm but our room wasn't ready yet and staff asked us to wait at thr lobby until the room get ready , 5 minutes later a another staff member came to us with a key to our room which he first apologise from us and he said they have upgrade the room to a super deluxe room at same price as standard , we love it and have many thanks to th. Loved the hotel and the service and staff that looked after us. We ordered room service which was great. The breakfast buffet which was included in the room rate was excellent. The dinner buffet was another plus. The sulfur smell grew on you but there was no complaint as the hotel is in Situated in Rotorua. The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. All on all I would definitely recommend this hotel. The service was excellent. All of the staff work as a team, and the friendliness and efficiency was second to none. A special mention for Mhaire on reception - no problem too small; Nikola in the restaurant - very efficient and friendly: and the best of all, Steph in the restaurant - an absolute professional and such an asset to the organisation. Close to the city, but in a quiet area. Friendly staff, easy parking. Lovely room (modern) clean and tidy, the most comfortable bed and very spacious!!!! Gorgeous veiw of the mountains outside. Definitly will recomend to friends and family and even stay again myself!. i like the location of the Holiday Inn Rotorua. at the back of the hotel is a very nice volcanic scenery (geyser and hot spring pools). it has also a very good scenery, looking towards the mountain. i can highly recommend it to my friends and others... We arrived before the check in time but receptionist made us feel welcome and got us a room with views of the thermal village. Superb! Shuttle service to town was prompt and driver very helpful. Happy hour with good wine prices. Dinner buffet was good. The views, the hotel staff etiquettes, room cleanliness, hygiene, quick arrangement for my baby's food, etc, in a nutshell almost everything was likable. I would definitely recommend people to come here and would visit ourselves again. The cleaners are amazing. I have made a note of them of few things I needed in the room and by the time we got back in the room later of the day -- they completed the list! So proud of what the cleaners do and they are amazing!. The deal with the breakfast when staying at the holiday inn is Devine, always as huge buffet breakfast, the pool is also hot outside and the room is the perfect size (spacious) with a powerful shower. The spotless room on the 5th floor, overlooking the Lake and the city. The kindness and the efficiency of the staff. The proximity of the Maori village you could see from the window... Facilities were better than we hoped. The views were spectacular, and the bed very comfortable. The location was perfect for Whakarewarewa village, which was what we came to see. The swimming pool was very nice and the buffet dinner was good and good value. The young man on Reception when I arrived was fantastically helpful and very pleasant. He deserves a mention but alas I do not remember his name. My wife and I found it to be an awesome stay, the staff were great and friendly and the amenities were easy to find, awesome breakfast aswell. It was our wedding anniversary and this was acknowledged by Samuel (front office) in the nicest possible way. This made our weekend special. Quiteness, comfort and it was relaxing. It was lovely to get into a nice warm pool that was long enough to be able to do some aqu-exercises. I like the hot spring pool provided with spa nature ,largish ,hot and clean. staff of hotel are very nice. food is good too. I really liked the customer service, the breakfasts and the facilities. The smell inside the main entrance of the hotel (although our room did not smell at all) the room we were in we could here the people in the room next to us. Too many coach parties meant it was noisy in the bar. Was quite far from the tourism centre and also from Thermal Reserve. The shuttle service could be more frequent. Rest everything was impeccable. I liked everything, so relaxing. the food. Leaving. It's a bit far from the city centre. however, I am not satisfy that wifi internet is not free and charge too much. even 30min free but always is cut off after 10 min. minor points, not affecting the overall stay, but to be considered sulphur smell from adjacent thermal village may be off putting to some. the hotel is on the edge of rotorua, and is a 15 minute walk to town. room was not serviced well for the second nite ran out of toilet paper and had to ask for towels. Breakfast - probably one of the worst I've had. Buffet items were not replenished as they run out. Staff seemed more interested in clearing up (at 8:30) than helping customers. No issues. Took housekeeping a bit longer than expected to service our room but no complaints when done. Internet Access is expensive, I never understand why internet is so expensive. WiFi was poor and not free. limited wifi. the smell of sulfate in all around. Nothing. faulty toilet which we reported on the Sunday but was not corrected by the Tuesday when we left Breakfast on the day we left was not a buffet breakfast and was ordered from a menu which was overcooked. 7 dollar tray charge. Expensive buffet, $47!. Lifts where quite small - a bit of a squeeze for adult & wheelchair & luggage but we managed. Too much Chinese tours and makes lots of noise.
