  We stayed at a newly renovated room and the design and comfort was perfect, room was also very clean. - Very comfortable bed, very good breakfast, tea/coffee maker. In our room there was a bathroom with (dark) glass wall - so you can see what's happening inside from the room - you have to decide on your own whether it's a plus or not :)

  I certainly recommend this place as an excellent base for exploring the city of Amsterdam, whilst being able to retreat to a nice peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. I emailed Rene before our trip and he gave us some excellent advice regarding transport to the boat and how to get about during our stay.   My husband and I had a lovely time. The staff was so friendly and theroom was cute, clean and tidy. The location is quiet and still close tothe centre. We loved having air conditioning! We also asked thereception if they could wake us up at 6.00 am on the morning we had toleave, and the receptionist (friendly guy!!!) very kindly, knocked onour door... what people say » at 6.00 am spot on!! The host also provided a ton of detailed directions for us before our arrival. They were also very responsive to our emails and texts.

The hotel retains the character of a Dutch house, yes there are steep steps but that adds, so many hotels are bland chains…enjoy!

  It was my first visit to Amsterdam. The boat is next to the centrall station (10 minutes walking) in a really quiet dock!
