My husband and I had a lovely time. The staff was so friendly and theroom was cute, clean and tidy. The location is quiet and still close tothe centre. We loved having air conditioning! We also asked thereception if they could wake us up at 6.00 am on the morning we had toleave, and the receptionist (friendly guy!!!) very kindly, knocked onour door at 6.00 am spot on!! We'll comeback!. The staff was very nice and gave us information about the city and whatto do. The rooms where really clean and we had everything we could need.
all reviews » The size of the room was nice and the bathroom was incredibly clean and pretty big. Good air conditioning - it always warm. Good location - not far from city centre, 50m from the zoo, 300m from super market. Very convinient connection to city center- tram stop right outside of the apartment. Very close to the city center. You can hear the tram running in front of the hotel, but that was not a problem for me. Plantage is one of the nicest parts of Amsterdam and the hotel is excellently reachable from the city center. This is a Hotel Garni, no breakfast in the Hotel - plan accordingly. The hotel is located right outside a tram stop which makes getting around really easy. Staff were very helpful and watched our bags on the final day as we had a late flight. Rooms very were warm and the shower was excellent. No breakfast available, but Cafe Koosje (right across the street) offers breakfast. (However, they do not open until 9 am!). I needed an iron to press my white shirt, and they gave me a 50-yearsold iron with flaking off some grey stuff from iron's metal surfacethat smudged my shirt. When I asked for another iron they told me thatthey do not have it. That was quite disappointing to discover in athree star hotel!... The bottom half of the sign was in black with black writing - this does not help people locate it especially when arriving at night.cleaning staff did not clean/makeup our bed everyday. shower was bizarre....sprayed everywhere. Top bedrooms are small. Half an hours hike from center. But hey, there are plenty of trams and taxi's. fire exits were very narrow so i dont think this hotel is safe for this kind of situations. Room was not made up on the second day. That there were no drinking cups available.No breakfast. The rooms located at the back side of the hotel are very tiny.The bath has not any kind of ventilation and for the shower-"door" there was a water leak, making the floor a small indoor lake.No breakfast. the hair dryer didn't work and they didn't give us any toilet paper after the first day!. very noisy neighbours, or should i say that the walls very thin on the top floor, just a sheet of plasterboard. It doesn't come with any breakfast but there's a cafe across the road, some what pricey - I'd recommend you make the short trip to places like Leidseplein or Rembrandtplein via tram instead for a cheaper and wider selection of food.carpet wasn't clean enough. Didn't change bed sheets for 3 days. The bed sheet was very smellyyy, and there was empty bottles under the bed. 4% extra charge for card payments, all the amount authorized by the time when the reservation was made, found 2 limax in the bathroom. It was one of the worse hotels in terms of comfort, but excellent location. internet for free but only when U have your own laptop an willing to wait at the reception desk where 2m long LAN cable is available.... the room was extremely small, the bathroom was incredibly tiny. too high price/quality ratio. Horrible tiny and dirty room. Hotel staff shut the heating down. We were freezing. Stay away at all costs.We must pay at check in. Room very small, moquette with stains, spiderweb on the walls. Unconfortable beds, little pillows, short sheets (with holes). Last day we finished toilet paper, we haven't found a new roll. The drain of our shower needed to be unclog. No phone, no breakfast, old cathode Tv, free wi-fi with low signal in the upper floors. Staff gentle enough.
