Good location, very near a great spa/hammam (Heritage Spa- a must!).....what a bonus. Fantastic terrace with loungers to lie out on, which is often lacking in many raids. Wifi in the rooms! so often ghe wifi is only in the common area of thr riads. We were met at the train station. Owner was great and very helpful. Good location. It is in an alleyway that is difficult to find but once you know the way it's no trouble. The owner, Omar is friendly and hospitable and speaks good english. The riad is beautiful and comfortable and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Breakfast was nice. It's 10 minutes walk to the main square.
all reviews » I thought the standard of the renovations that have been done were fantastic. All done by artisans. Beautiful. I also thought the location in the Medina was perfect. Chilled out atmosphere and easy to relax. Friendly staff who cater for all your needs. Good location for exploring the Medina and surrounding area. Peaceful escape from the thriving souks and main square. Nice hidden location, great beautiful riad and roof terrace. Good breakfast. Loved the decor, beautiful house, and Omar the host was very nice as were his staff. Also the roof terrace. Where the riad is situated you think you have gone back In time, authentic. Loved my time there. friendly nice place roof terrace close to main square helpful. Good value. Clean. Tranquil. Hotel is beautiful inside, they have nice terrace there u can take sun bath. Limited English speaking. The area may seem to be dodgy but really, what part of Marrakech is not a bit dodgy?! You will be fine if you just prepare yourself for the intensity of Marrakech. Most likely you will have to pay someone a few dirhams to guide you to the riad through the winding streets when you first arrive. Bed we had was quite hard. Lack of english speaking staff was a problem, The owner speaks perfectly fine english though. The room facilities did not match the description given on the website. It was all good so nothing to add here. Owner is rarely there, you are missing a big portion of the Moroccan Riad hospitality as workers are not so helpful and dont speak English. Owner is nice if you can ever meet him. Difficult to find first time, and not the best map was provided. Our room was a little dark, probably as it was downstairs, I think others on the second floor would have been brighter. it was cold inside the rooms (time of year due to open roof in atrium) dark alley to get there host didnt speak very good english. I think that there should have been more physical presence of the owner/manager. I had to pay the kitchen staff and throughout our stay we pretty much were left to our own devices; would have been nice to have been greeted and asked if everything was ok and also upon leaving rather than just leaving payment with the maids. Staff don't speak english at all. We was staying for 4 nights and for all time never change towels or bed-clothes. Breakfast everyday same not much to choose. VERY BAD LOCATION!!! Hotel is in small street in the middle of old medina. It is local market. Dangerous to walk in night or late evening. Day time uncomfortable because in this street a lot off people, animals and motorcycles, smells bad and it is like big labyrinth.
