We loved the Riad Rose du Desert and next time we go to Marrakech we want to stay here again. The price is very good considering the good conditions and the moroccan atmosphere. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and overall it was a very good experience. We had welcome drinks (Moroccan mint tea with biscuits), staff were very helpful and friendly, rooms were clean. Riad is hard to find at first but then it gets easier. Breakfast could have been better with a more variety as it is pretty much the same every morning. Very close to djemaa el fnaa square (10 mins walk) Will use Riad again. We loved the staff and how welcome they made us feel. They helped us find places to eat, find taxis, made us aware that haggling is expected and what things should cost. We felt safe and very well looked after. When we arrived it was not easy to find the hidden location and we had to pay a boy on the street to take us to the riad (but it was worth). It is a bit off the beaten path. For anyone unfamiliar with Marrakech, email first and have them pick you up at the airport. The only thing is a smell in the room, I think it's because of humidity. After a week in Morocco, we determined that the medinas are not for the faint of heart - the area seems to get progressively seedier as the night goes on, and this makes it less attractive to go out at night (a problem considering the riad does not have a restaurant). Nothing!. Nothing!. Dificult to find for people who are not used with old packed cities. No signs until the last few meters. The standard room don't include a/c. Wrong description in letsbookhotel.com. The manager Mr. Youssef solved the problem with great care. I had some washing done and was shocked at the bill. (I did not check the charge beforehand and it was a nasty surprise). This was my only problem. Breakfast could include fruit or some variety. It only included bread, Moroccon pancakes and other carb items. Difficult to find riad, especially if you're first time there. But it's Medina! You can do nothing with it :) And what I didn't like in Marrakech, is sometimes really annoying people trying to sell you things what you don't need. They are like those little annoying flies. Shower was a bit luke warm and not much power A little bit further away from the main square but it was fine. The Riad was a bit hard to find at first, and a better map or instructions on how to get there may have helped. The riad is difficult to find. For first comer, i strongly recommend that you should book airport pickup with riad (30 Euros round trip) For me its impossible to find by my own. And its far from Djema el fna square. Breakfast is a joke. Just bread and juice. And there are no restaurants nearby. Internet is not working well on 2nd floor. Please note that not all room has air conditioned. At first time, it is quite hard to find this riad. We suggest print a good map. close to the minaret so expect an early weakup call!. No kettle in the room. Is really difficult to find for the first time, google map doesn't help if you put the address. So better someone leads you to the Riad for the first time. The place is a bit far from Jemaa el-Fnaa but if you don't mind losing you in to the markets is not bad. The tour they offer for the dessert is not a good choice, but I don't now if there are better ones, just take it in mind of you wanna spend a few days in the Sahara.
