This is a real backpackers haunt with a lovely atmosphere. The place is so atmospheric especially at night when they light candles on the fountain. Wifi is also good, better than many 3 stars we have stayed in. Of course the rooms are not as comfortable as higher star hotels but it's really cheap and very clean. Staff are very helpful. I agree with comment I rad, don't be put off by the approach to the place...through dark alleyway. It's also right in the centre so perfectly placed to enjoy the.
all reviews » I really enjoyed my time at Riad el pacha, the staff are the best, so helpful and fun!! The location of the hostel is perfect, within the medina and away from the noise. The place has a great atmosphere and the staff made every effort to make me feel at home, and I met loads of other people in the evenings . The lockers are safe, the bathrooms are clean and there is a roof terrace for hanging out. The staff is really helpful and friendly! They help us in everything and offer good facilities! The atmosphere of the hostel is very good and calm! Don't be scary when you see the main door, because the hostel is really good!!!. Beautiful place in really good location. Staff incredibly laid back and friendly. They went to great lengths to make us feel at home. Good food available on request. I would happily stay there for longer next time. Good location, nice atmosphere. Anything. The breakfast was ok. First room had no windows. Second was on the roof with private bathroom but was a bit damp up there. That said we are to complaining as it was cheap so still excellent value for money. the seconde night we had to sleep in the couch because we just make reservation one night and hostel was quite busy. Nothing to dislike! The lift wasn't working , but not a problem at all!. I think the kitchen should be more equipped. Maybe not enough power sockets. In the evenings its dark inside, poor lamp light. You must improve your internet, it doesn`t work at all!!, They don`t really accept credit card as the website and booking sites say they do. Everything felt really dirty, very old furniture, too expensive for what they offer. The creepy guy at the reception. we arrived and we got a room without window, it smelled and there was just a bed and a bedside, shared bathroom; for that what we should have paid, it was nothing. we asked if we could get another room, and fortunately we got one in an other riad for the same money, which was okay. They gave us a room which wasn't the one we booked. the seets were small and they were dirty, hairy... The room was too dark , it hadn't got light enough. Hotel acces stinked.
