Hotel Rivemar was very clean and comfortable. It is located in what I call the 'heart' of Cancun. Rivermar is close to the ados bus station, shops and great places to eat. For the price one will be hard pressed to find better accomodations in Cancun. I stayed here 3 times over the course of a few months. It was easy to get to from the ADO bus station, and it was easy to book trips in and out of the area. The staff were very friendly and as a solo female traveller I felt really safe.

Good location, perfect stop off point to catch bus for onward journey. The location was perfect, easy access to main heart of Cancun. It was very central, crazy cheap... For Cancun. Close to everything! Ado, markets and etc. A/C worked well. Pretty close to the bus station if you are getting in late or leaving early. Friendly staff, close to an ADO bus station, budget friendly, safety box in the room. The stuff was friendly but a little "pushy" and tried to cell something as a respond to every question we had. The internet was available in 2 of the 3 rooms I stayed in, the final room had no internet access as it was right up the back far corner of the hotel. However, the first 2 rooms had no hot water, and the last room had a great shower with hot water. I went to the courtyard and used internet during my final stay. Nothing. Not very well signed, quite east to walk past. The room looks quite old. From other opinions I read that it's loud. My room wasn't, it did not, however, have windows leading to the exterior. I believe it's a lose-lose kind of a situation. AC is noisy. Incompetent management, who didn't have the front desk staffed during check-in hours. A travel agent located inside the lobby called the manager for me, but they wouldn't honor the discounted price I got online since they weren't there to see the reservation, despite my having a copy of the booking confirmation. They did refund the difference in the morning. There were ants in my room. Wi-Fi signal was sporadic. It is a hostel that called "hotel". The place is clean but very old, toilet and shower are in very bad condition, the water doesn't go through, the location good only for 1 night cose its very noisy all night and very far from all touristic amneties. The smell in room was bad, the air condition worked well but was very old and its not possible to open windows.
