Best hotel we've stayed in! You are welcomed into the hotel by a 'Welcome Home'. Surprised but after staying there, How fitting! The room is plush and wonderfully designed/decorated, with lots of treasures and good things to discover here and there (won't list them all as you have to go and experience all the surprises one at a time! :) Whatever the view from the room didn't really matter as the room itself has plenty to take in. Loved the massive bathtub - it even had a rubber ducky :) Love.

Hotel design gives the feeling of openness and freeing your imagination away unbound with typical hotels walls. A river is on one side and a fountain in a middle of water is on the other side. And if you look above you, you can see the sky. It is a piece of an artend with services by the people around you Everyone is showing high level of professiona. We loved the big rooms, amenities (room has everything you could need) and river view that we could enjoy from our balcony. Also love design of hotel and the great customer service provided. Staff are friendly and attentive. Second visit here and felt as if returning home. Only hotel in 5 week trip that provided hot chocolate which is great because I don't drink tea or coffee. They really look after guests here and have great rooftop pool. Would highly recommend you stay at this hotel. This hotel was in an great location right on the river in this historic town. The hotel is a newish build in a traditional style and has exellent facilities and caring staff. Breakfast has a good large selection and the roof pool with bar looks out over the town. Relax in it's courtyard!. -pampering starts with c/i when having a sherbet while the attractive receptionist lady fills in the form - rooms are spacious and nice - the library (24h only for hotel guests) with samovar and armchairs is a perk - cosy pool - restaurant and bar staff very attentive. I liked the location of the hotel as it allowed easy access to shopping and food. The relaxed atmosphere within the hotel was also something that I liked. The staff was friendly, approachable and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. They can arrange the river cruise to come to the hotels private dock for you. The rooms are spectacularly appointed for the price and the location is a 5 minute walk to jonkar st and the old town. I love everything abt this hotel. Fantastic, clean, almost perfect. Don feel like going back. I really enjoy my stay here. My room is damn spacious, love it. Really value for my money. Location was fabulous, easy walk to most sights. On the banks of the river so plenty to see. Staff were extremely pleasant helppful and professional. Lovely room with great bathroom. It was lovely to be able to see the river view from the balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful although they do need more training on service and product knowledge. River view room Great bathroom Peaceful but in the heart of Jonkers River cruise was great as was the revolving tower. Take a trishaw ride!!. great central location , for all eating and drinking venues . Appealing design with nice decorative features and a lovely terrace . One of the most impressive room layouts I have ever seen. Likewise, the lobby area and surrounding Fountains were fabulous. great location. wonderful breakfast and amazing roof top pool overlooking the city and river. Needs to have more options for the in Room Dining. Nothing at all. Nothing. -happy hour only for jugs and not for mugs. The quality and variety of the food at breakfast time could be improved. The food from the ala carte menu served was a bit cold. I don't quite like on the breakfast spread.. Not much variety. But their idea on giving ala carte breakfast for every guest to choose is good. I suggest the mgt need to review & improve on their breakfast spread.Not to sure abt their lunch & dinner. After all, everything is perfect & superb!! Well Done to the mgt & staff of Casa Del Rio. Room 204 was noisy when the pumps for the swimming pool were switched on which was twelve hours a day. The breakfast buffet was decent, at least the bread and eggs didnt go wrong. the nasi lemak was the worst ive ever tasted.Did not meet the standards we have paying for the price.Any 2 or 3 stars hotel buffet can outshine them in the restaurant service and food. Staff were always nice and polite but helpless in prompt service,(a child seat or a coffee can take forever). Good luck for breakfast!. Safe did not work. Was not repaired. although the room was generous in proportion it was awkwardly designed ( with the dressing area too far from the bedroom area ). The price was a bit steep for the Melaka. The music from the riverside vendors although this is hardly the hotels fault. If you are driving into Melaka note that the weekend traffic is horrendous. Sometimes staff were a bit too obtrusive - especially at mealtimes when staff often hovered waiting for you to finish a course and then came to take the dish away almost before you had time to put the cutlery back on the plate. The town it is in, Melaka is not a very good place to visit for more than 1 day. The historical parts are, well rubbish. The extra bed per night is expensive. Since they are already charging a premium rate per night . Perhaps the hotel should consider lowering the price of extra bed to entice family to stay at this hotel. pricy, but good... although the place is great, the room price is quite high. Would benefit from more vegetarian options e.g in-room dining. Nothing. nothing. I dont think it's value for money. It's overpriced .
