We're a group of 9 stayed for 4 days 3 nights. We booked 2 triple room and 1 double room with extra bed. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! On our first day of arrival, the reception staff introduced us list of things to do and place to visit in penang. Hotel room are clean and neat. Though is a budget hotel, we're allow choose our own type of pillow!! Great location, opp is the most famous penang char kuay teow stall. Mr Liau helped us pre-order the char kuay teow, unfortunately there.
all reviews » Stayed for two nights with two other friends and it was great! The room is very clean and looks new. Got to choose our own pillows. If you want anything (I.E.: praying mat, iron, hair dryer, etc), just ask and they will provide it with no charge. The staff are very friendly and informative. Near to the main road to catch a bus/taxi. Near to Komtar to catch the free bus trip around Georgetown (2km). Wifi is provided in the room. A great value for money. Would definitely stay again. Definitely the staff! Really friendly, and really helpful! They gave us some good advices on how to visit the city. The hawker stall (hokkien noodle) situated down the hotel seems well known from the locals and is excellent. You also have many other hawker stalls within 5 min walk. Also, the location of the hotel is OK if you don't mind walking a little bit (and let's be honest, Georgetown is not that big). MR Liao is a very nice and kindly person, he told us how to find the most authentic local snacks in penang, and the most important thing is he could speak in Chinese~~~~the hotel is about 15mins--20mins walk from Komtar~ If u have time, u can just walk to there...walk through the Time Square and go straight that main road until u get to Jalan Siam, then walk to teh end of this road u will find this hotel~~. This was the best hotel we've been in Malaysia. The owner is very helpful, staff is really nice. Rooms are exactly like in the offer: big enough, all facilities work well. Near mosque - sometimes got woke up at 5am TV - not much channel to choose from. Tv has 3 channels only. No wardrobe / cupboard. No refrigerator. Noisy due to a bar next to the hotel. We were also in a room with all the "exit" air con situated on a balcony. So again very noisy. the room is a little bit small~~. Nothing. Too small the television size and location installed. Maybe if its have kettle should be ok. The water pipes are not properly insulated, and you can water running. The location of the hotel, and limited parking spaces. Can hear people talking at outside (so noisy). Also can hear people in the next room bath/shower (use toilet). Lack of wardrobe in the room.
