The Dwell is a lovely place to relax and enjoy local life. There are many nearby food choices from famous hawker stands to restaurants of all variety. It's an easy ride on the bus to downtown Georgetown and a nice distance from it's crowds. The staff is excellent. Jennifer (new from my first visit) is great for all kinds of information and everyone there is polite and fun to be around. I was delighted to return and hope to do so again.

At our arrival, the staff handed us city maps with the different locations to see in town and the place to eat the different food specialities from Penang. They have also helped us to rent a motorbike and arranged the pick up from airport. The hotel is located on a very charming street with traditional houses. Hotel room is very clean and well furnished (AC, TV, ...). The outdoor bathroom was spacious and comfortable, as was the bed. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and were available for anything needed. I also liked the location because we got to know another area of Georgetown, not just in the heritage district. Very hospitable staff.hertitage house lies on a lovely street and has a lot f character.in a nicer part of Georgetown 10 minutes from gurney drive. Dwell by Palanquinn is a great place to stay: relaxing as well as stimulating. A perfect spot for touring in Penang and ideal for resting in. And you should check out the 'mee goreng' around the corner. Apartment was great experience and staff was very helpful. Around the corner great local breakfast places and nearbay excellent dinner food stalls. Budhist temples very close, nice surroundings. Friendly staff wich gave good advise on local dining/sightseeing options. Is strategy location. Bed mastress is too hard and room is located just above the street so it can be get noisy. The website says there's a retractable roof but it doesn't move. nothing. Nothing at all. Noise from second floor. the distance to the city center. Little bit out of town. Floor was dusty. The rooms are not like the pictures. The pictures make the room look more grand and stylish. I think it was overpriced for that kind of room. Rather noisy street but it didnt bother us much. main point have already been mentioned. It is too noise as the room is just beside the roadside. You can hear the noise of vehicle from day to night. Is not really recommended if you are looking for relaxing trip.
