It was a very nice and comfortable hotel. The room was quiet, big and clean(however note that if you stay for 3 nights it is not cleaned during your stay so you have to keep it clean). The location was also very good, it was very centrally located. We liked the breakfast that was served in the nice outdoor restaurant. It was simple but very tasty. We really think that this a good hotel, it's maybe missing some 4 starts hotels facilities but for this money the value was excellent. I don't think .

Small hotel, quick check in at the reception. Nice cosy room that has the heritage look but equipped with flat TV, hot shower and air cond! We requested for parking when we did our booking and we were alloted 1 parking space at the backyard of the hotel, which was gated and accessed only by remote control gate. Very secured indeeded. The hotel was in a central position in Penang. It is quite easy to find. There is parking opposite although we paid RM15 for overnight parking. The uniqueness of the name. And the very beautiful interior in the manner of olden Chinese houses with courtyards, inner and outer halls.Peaceful and quiet. Good location in old Georgetown. Arriving early in the morning the manager was able to give us a change of room so we could clean up after a night's travelling which was excellent. Simple but comfortable. Decent breakfast. Everything in the hotel is perfect. It's sort of a traditional and antique feel hotel with all those furniture that thru have in the hotel. The room and bathroom is very big and we have a good and comfortable stay. Admirale historic decor. I felt obliged to make a reasonable amount of pictures. We came very early in the morning and easily had breakfast instead of following morning. Recommend this accomodation. the hotel is quiet good with resonable price but the breakfast should enough for all guest because Some people take more so the food not enough / for the other guest but over all is good. I only stayed two nights and the breakfast menu (buffet) was virtually the same on both days with a change from fried noodles to fried rice.Recpetion said the restaurant closed at 9.30pm but when I went to have a meal at 10pm it was closed both nights. car park. limited carpark at hotel. Behind hotel only for 8 car park. and staff told us the card park is full. but when we see there still have some lot. maybe reserve by VVIP. not 1st come 1st serve. road side also difficult park the car. Little too far from the ferry, the breakfast was ok. The price was good. The shower was odd, no curtain and water would land on the toilet seat. Beer was pretty expensive. Most places were 8 MR, there it was 10MR. Bathroom could have a curtain on the outside so that there is more privacy when friends are sharing room and don't feel so uncomfortable. Wi-fi didn't work so smoothly. The bathing water is not hot enough. Wi Fi sucks! Limited car parking. I found the staff rather surly. The check-in lady was OK, but somewhat off-hand. The waiter at breakfast was entirely lacking in the skills a waiter should possess. A bit of all-round staff-training wouldn't go amiss. Less channel in tv breakfast not much choice. Poor Internet connection outside of the lobby. - not a fault per se, but location making car parking a bit testing - need to update their brochure regarding what is available in the room e.g. mini fridge. The back door opening gives some sort of insecurity to the family. Water was only a trickle in the bathroom, some dodgy power points, no wardrobe space just a couple of hangers behind the door. No elevator. Had to climb stairs. Red light district area. Staff - customer service is poor and staffs are not friendly. Did not greet customers at all everyday when we walk in and out, but was busying with their movie watching at the reception counter. (House keeping staff are friendlier than them.). the bathroom is not up to expectation. Unfriendly and unwelcoming staff - not what we would expect from a boutique hotel. We paid for a superior room which is not what we got (we were subsequently moved when we complained). No complete toiletries are provided. The safety button of the water heater is spoilt. The front desk is messy. The lighting is poor. The staff is not helpful and friendly enough. Shower room is small.
