First of all, what I liked most at Best Western Sun Sun is the warm reception extended to us by the Filipino staff aside from the affordability and cleanliness of the hotel. Second, is the hotel location that is very near the public bus stations and free casino shuttle services for City of Dreams / Venetian Macau resort & casino. The Filipino staff can also guide you in the cheapest possible way in getting around tourist destinations & shopping centers. And most of all, it is very near.
all reviews » Clean rooms, great view from our room, very helpful staff and close to the city center. You can get there by bus (#3a) from the ferry terminal (coming from Hong Kong) and get off at the last stop. There is even a great bakery on the side street that sells those delicious egg tarts for $5 (cheaper and much better than downtown). I like the fact that it is economical. The staff are also extremely helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The hotel is also near to all the tourist sites but somewhat of a distance from the major casinos. But it should not be a problem as there is a free shuttle nearby to the Venetian. The view from the window (floor 14) was very good to see the south of Macau and into Guangdong, China with the Inner Harbour between them. The coffee shop had excellent service with a small, but tasty menu. The staff were particularly accommodating and helpful, especially the night shift. the room was supberb.. it was equivalent to one of our city's 5 star hotel. we loved the tub and the carpeted floor. the location is so perfect that you can just walk from the hotel to the macau's tourist spots. no need to rent a cab. the best place for tourist and honeymooners like us. I like it that it is near St Paul Ruins, there's filipino restaurants near the hotel, a park with fountain in front where you can exercise a little, some friendly filipino staff in the hotel. and most of all, i like that there's a window in my room with ocean view. Staff were excellent, especially the Filipino ones, Location is very good - 10 min walk to senado square / st paul ruins, shuttle to venetian is across the street on the port to tung ying. Convenience stores and local eateries are very near, within 5 min walks. We did not spend too much time in the hotel, mainly were out sightseeing, watching various shows etc. However whenever we were back the room was clean, the stuff efficient and friendly. PS-can't say anything about location as were going by taxi. Filipino staff made it easier for us to communicate our needs. An option to leave our baggage after check out without additional charges made it more convenient for us to maximize our stay in Macau. Close to main attractions. Direct bus (route A3 from ferry terminalto bus terminus). Hotel 2 minutes walk fr bus terminus). Cheap by bus, 3.20 mop. 5 minutes walk from Senado square. Room clean. I liked the efficient friendly staff and service the hotel was clean and well fitted out at a value for money price. the location was easy to travel to and from any where in Macau . 1. Room size was good 2.the free shuttle service to Venetian and other other grand casino/hotels in Taipa was originating from right next door. 3.Walking distance from city centre. This hotel is quite nice, and well located, even if on the other side of the touristic area. Good staff,and we were upgraded, because of construction noise in our original room. Close to Senada Square and old parts of town. Easy access to bus transportation. Staff understands English and most speak English well. Walking distance to China ferry. it is 5min walking distance from senado square. cosy environment and everything new. will come back again if visit macau. good service and response from front desk. The room is big and we can see the Macau Tower view from 15th floor, 10-15 minutes walk to Senado square, convenient to travel around Macau and Taipa islands. I stayed for 1 night, the location was good just step away from bus stop, 500 m from senado square and near 7 eleven store. out of the 2 rooms booked 1was like a honeymoon room on the corner of the building facing both the river & the city. The rooms need to be treated for mold. The first room offered on floor 4 had a very hard bed and smelled strongly of mold and old tobacco smoke: we requested a change of room. An in room safe would have been great. The lady in the reception was talking on the phone and did not even give me a glance upon check in, had to wait for 5 minutes before Florence came and accommodated me. There were no bathrobes although the brochure promised ones. Room somewhat small compared to other hotes in other countries. Located in the old part of Macau not the glitzy area. The lights in our suite room were too dim, very poor lighting. Saving energy, yes, but not that much!. Surrounding neighborhood is a bit gritty. nothing :). Everything was OK. The rooms smelt and felt damp. The sweaty clothes we took off at night and hung up were still sodden the next day. Even the carpet felt damp. A mouldy smell prevailed. Although the cafè staff were friendly and very attentive, the food on offer was limited and not very nice (toast or instant or noodle). The location is a little bit hard to find; The water pressure is not very good; Offer the shampoo but not slippers. We order for twin bed, but the bed size is small even it was not comfortable for 1 person. nothing as such. The single beds were quite small. The locals were not so helpful when asking for directions of places when showing Macau's map 'cause tourists need to ask in Cantonese or Mandarin. Wifi not working at top floors. Almost nothing!. The room is a bit dark. the internet connection in room is not stable. Hotel guests from China seems to dominate the place with their loud and oblivious of others. Their loudness n rudeness makes the place appears rowdy. Hotel needs renovation. Nothing. having problem with one of the power plug, and having difficulties to press the light button. No clear direction on how to use the shower sray in bathroom,it is only explained clearly in english , and my parents cant understand, cause them spend much time on turning on until i help them out. location - you have to take bus/taxi for either site-seeing, shopping or gambling. No Wi-Fi. Staff are not very friendly . Room is too small. some worker attitude may no so friendly to customer.
