  Hotel Carlton is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Although in a not particularly salubrious part of Luxembourg the hotel is well situated for the station and is only a short walk to the old city. There is a fabulous Italian restaurant right opposite called Bella Napoli.The hotel owner/reception is fantastic and cannot do enough to help ... what people say » - he is what makes the hotel a standout. We loved Luxembourg - there is plenty to do for a three or four day break. It is so easy to walk around and t - The concierge at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful. He took us to a restaurant, he served an excellent breakfast, he told us how to get on the bus. We felt like family. He needs a raise. The orange juice at checkin was a bonus. The breakfast was superb. The decor of the hotel is fantastic. We will be recommending this hotel to our travel agent.

  Loved the helpful staff. The guy who checked me in was so helpful, providing a map and showing me some of the main sites on it and the easy route to walk to the city center on. It is a straight shoot from the hotel which is within site of the rail station where you can catch a constantly running bus to the airport. The hotel has a large, good brea... what people say » kfast (cheese, meat, bread, fruit etc) and a nice woman kept it all tidy and stocked. The room was typically small, cozy and very quiet. I had asked f - Stayed one night on my excursions from Brussels. Gives you more time to explore around although the city is pretty small. Hotel is very near to the train station. About 10-15 minutes walk to the old town. Very basic furnishings. Queen size mattress, not one of those joining two single beds. Clean otherwise. Staff was quite friendly too. There are two Chinese supermarket opposite the hotel.

  It was very well located. We walked from the Railway Station with our luggage and were pleased that the hotel was so close. It was also close to restaurants and shops - The cheddar cheese at breakfast--it was different than the other hotels we've stayed at.

  As we travelled with our son of 9 months, it was important for us to have a room big enough for the child to play. We were also looking for a hotel were the staff would be child-friendly. All this we found in Golden Tulip Central Monitor.   Right infront of the Central Station. You can get a City Sightseeing bus infront of the hotel, maybe a 5-10 minute walk to the Grund - The hotel and staff are fantastic and get better each time we use the hotel. Great location for transport links.
