  This is a Lovely ryokan style hotel in Asakusa. Our room was spacious and elegant, with a lovley (green) tea set and Cold water supplied (I cheated by making black tea...).   We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. This was a traditional Ryokan & needed getting used to ! It w... what people say » as perfectly located right in the middle of the oldest suburb of Tokyo, close to a temple, market street & river. It is however a unique experienc - Hotel is a quiet and peaceful haven in a busy, interesting area, just minutes away from many things to see and excellent traditional shopping. Staff are helpful, although it will help if you can speak a little Japanese. I have stayed in their tatami rooms before and this time stayed in a single (western style) room which was spacious for a single. Good to have free wifi, unlike many hotels. Tip - buy the koto cd at the reception desk as a memento.

  This is a big hotel. Located very close to Iidabashi subway station. Once we figured out the subway - in a day or so - this was very convenient. We were in and out a lot catching the subway from Iidabashi. There is a very nice bakery in the hotel.   We, adult couple , have stayed at Sotetsu Toyocho for 7 nights at the beginning of May 2013 as the final stop to our Japan 5 weeks trip. The hotel is very clean . The staff was outstanding help full to assist us with our daily different day tours at Tokyo city & outskirts tourist attractions . At some moments I have occupied 3 - Three Front Desk staff members : One searching the web in English , 2nd sea - The hotel is very close to Toyocho subway station as well as bus station making it easy to transfer. Wifi is free and fast in room and lobby. A pc with internet is available in the lobby and the reception staff are very polite and helpful. Ask them for any destination you are planning to go in order to get their advice and guidance. They are prepared with some print outs. A good Italian restaurant is located in the basement and the prices are very reasonable compared to other places. The j Post

  This hotel was fantastic! We stayed here for 3 nights when we visited Disneyland and DisneySea for 3 days. The staff speak English really well and are super friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing! So big and it looked out over the water. We had an extremely comfortable king size bed... so big I almost got lost in it. No complaints at all. - We stayed at the Hilton Tokyo Bay in late Oct 2013, and glad we did. It was a nice to end a trip where our accommodation was superb. We stayed in the 'celebrio' room which was perfect for 2 people, the hotel itself is situated in the Tokyo Disneyland Resort and offers a shuttle to and from the theme parks' station. Even though, it's about 20-25minute train ride from tokyo cbd, because of the amount of trains available, travelling outside of the area is no problem. FYI the monorial for the tokyo

  Excellent English was spoken .. When we finally checked in it was a breeze. Good sized room even with an extra bed in it. We had a view but more of the Disney car park. Courtesy shuttle from monorail traction to hotel was an added bonus .. It is up hill walking to the station was ok.
