The location was spot on - we were close to Shinjuku station and in the centre for shopping, restaurants, city lights and ease of transportation with train and taxi access Staff were helpful, English good and room comfortable. We booked a classic double room and had fab views of city - room 2301. Due to bad weather we cancelled our Mt Fuji accommodation and had no trouble extending our stay at Prince Hotel - we just needed to move to a room next door for the additional 2 nights - room 2303. Only in Japan I could get such honest and sincere treatment. Location is superb. Right in the heart of Shinjuku towards the east exit of the Shinjuku station hardly 5 min walk. Highly recommended for people who wish to enjoy Tokyo night life and shopping and also easy access to other parts of the city. My favourite hotel in Tokyo - pretty basic, but clean and in an excellent location, about 8 minutes from Shinjuku Station East Exit. The rooms are small, but it is normal in Tokyo. The beds are comfortable, the rooms offer everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel - still nicer than e.g. IBIS hotels in Europe. The staff speak mostly very good English and are helpful. I've a pleasant stay at Shinjuku Prince Hotel between 14th - 16th of August 2013. Location is perfect as it's very close to Shinjuku station and eateries and shops. The staff at Bell desk is excellent as he research on website and show us a few places that we can go to. Room is small, but it's ok for us. The room is very clean including the bathroom. I requested a room on an upper level of the hotel (as it is quite noisy near street level) and got it. Rooms were very clean. Definitely a great location - close to shops, restaurants and trains.
