The staff was friendly and able to speak some English. Hotel is very clean and there were complimentary toiletries that are beyond the usual (i.e. toothbrush, razor w/shaving cream, hair brush, washing cloths). Buffet was good; kind of expected stereotypical American fanfare (i.e. fries, onion rings for breakfast). Extremely friendly staff that speaks English very well. Very modern hotel with great amenities. Free breakfast bar with a good selection. Close to numerous restaurants and shops. Shinjuku train station is about a 10 minute walk. Internet is wired, but it is free and very fast.

Staff is very nice with exellent service especially for the reservation change on the check-in date. Great staff, beautiful and clean room, amazing breakfast. The location is pretty good, Shinjuku station is 10 minute away, and there are some metro stations whitin 5 mins walk. Last but not least, there's a shop open 24h just next to the hotel. The staff gave us guidance on best time to get to Tsukiji Fish market for Tuna auction- they recommended 4.30am to get there which we followed and tickets were sold out by 3am so we had an early start and two expensive taxi rides there and back for nothing. Unclear aircon control, labels only in Japanese. Price is rather expensive and small room. We found it a little hard to find - if you go to Shinkjuku Sanchome station and go to Exit e1 you should be able to see the Best Western building complete with logo. Then it's just a matter of walking through the Golden Gai bar area and down a paved path - Best Western will be on your left. (This is also a good route to take if it's raining as it's mostly underground!). The room was very small.. just enough for our cases and a bed... We stayed in small rooms. The area is a shade dodgy - on the edge of the red light district and you get bothered by touts in the evening. Nothing. Room is very small but this is tokyo.
