Situated in an excellent location with its own shuttle bus transporting between the hotel and the station, Shinjuku Hilton Hotel offers a wonderful stay. Having not booked for breakfast, I still tried their Sushi restaurant leading to an exquisite session of delicious food. all reviews » Great lobby design, luxurious especially with coffee shop layout. Rooms are nice, except that beds are generally small. Location is perfect. Across is a Denny's and Starbucks. 5 minutes walk is a subway station. It also offers free shuttle to Shinjuku Station. Area is very peaceful. Cherry blossom right across the hotel. The staff were so friendly, the accommodation so nice. I was travelling with my elfpderly mother and everything was perfect for the both of us. The facilities in the room were plentiful. We used the gym and the pool and everything was so nice we didnt want to leave. It spoilt us for the rest of our trip overseas. We loved it. Having stayed in quite a few hotels with super modern design overkill, we liked the simplicity of our rooms which had everything, but were "easy to understand" and use. Light switches easy to understand, simple old-style bathroom (clean and renovated). Comfortable hotel, ease of access to metro, internet avaliable in foyer at no charge with no time limitations - those who need it for a short time each day, once or twice, need not be inflicted with a days charge for access they dont need. It was pretty close to Shinjuku Train Station and only cost 710 Yen for a taxi. Staff were friendly and the room was modern and spacious and the view was nice. I failed to get a bottom water at the lobby. Internet was not free, room service was not that great. Wifi was spotty. Paid for wifi in room, but front desk gave wrong access code. Had to speak with outside tech for 30 minutes each time. nothing. Location. Not many restaurants nearby. Bathroom is small and dated. Bedroom feels too basic. No luxury at all. A bit old fashioned. Was in a mess - First 5* hotel where the entrance is filled with checkin/checkout baggage - lack of politeness of staff on the intercom. We requested for an extra bed for our child. It was overlooked, and when we got there. There was no room available to add an extra bed. We were thus 'downgraded' from a deluxe room to a standard room. No free wifi in the room. We stayed in an executive room and it was very outdated. There was not even any drawers in the bathroom The room was not made up one day which is very strange. It sounds like a minor point, but the lifts took forever. On one occassion it took over 15 minutes to make it out of the building and being on the 34th floor walking didnt seem like a fun option. Five star hotel should not charge for wifi connection. What a shame. Shuttle bus not enough. Lifts are always full, doesn't open all the lifts, need to always wait for a long time. Need to charge delivery charges if you request a plate. no free wifi in room. No complimentary wifi service in the room.
