  The man who runs the guest house speaks very good English. He and his wife are doing a great job running this hostel. I find the location perfect because right next to the station, so easy to access with the bags. Nara isn't a big city so it's totally fine to walk to the spots.   It was cozier than I expect it to be! The owner is super friendly and helpful. Great experience of living in traditional japanese home with kotatsu! Will definitely come back and stay here should I come to visit Nara. - It was a nice atmosphere and the traditional Japanese style to the place was welcoming.

  Private room for 4 persons is clean and roomy, I am totally surprised that we got this big room for the price 2400 yen per person. In the 4 persons room there are power plug of every bed, and a table with 4 chair which is useful to discuss travel plan tomorrow with friends or have meal or sneaks together. The GH owner is nice, helping us found a coin - Incredible value for money! I was really surprised to find such a fantastic well kept room for so little money. Our traditional Japanese room was cosy, clean and very modern. The bathroom was also nicely designed. The guest house is conveniently located and, despite some of the comments I read, easy to find. The owner will provide you with a super detailed map and pictures so you cannot go wrong!! The owner is a really nice friendly guy who speaks good english. I cannot recommend this place eno

  Simply amazing guesthouse which offers a very unique experience in a 100 year old house. setting a new benchmark in my opinion on a hostel. The location is excellent for visiting Nara park and temple locations. The staff are so very friendly (thanks guys for the washing powder for my laundry) So if you are visiting Nara and are backpacking I urge ... what people say » you to put this hostel on your list or even if you are travelling and just want to experience staying in a very traditional old Japanese house, do not - Excellent, probably the best place to stay in Nara and experience traditional Japanese style accommodation. The young couple that runs the guesthouse speaks great English and personify the high sense of Japanese service. Very well located , they also rent bicycle at very low price and advise you special things to see to make the best of your trip. Even when they are fully booked they work miracles to find you a nice place to stay.
