I always think when you see peoples remarks you still take a risk with hotels, but i have to say all the comments were spot on, fantastic hotel, absolutely lovely rooms, clean, new and stylish in every way, ok we had a bit of a job to find but that was our own doing.... only a walk to st marks so great location and the hotel back entrance is right on a canal if you want to arrive in style!.

We travelled by water taxi from the airport to the door of the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised as we were upgraded to a junior suite and the room was one of the nicest we were ever in. A top class hotel and made Venice a wonderful experience for the short break. The hotel's location was excellent, being that bit removed from the crowds and yet only a short stroll from the heart of the city. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. They couldn't have been more attentive. I loved the decor and would describe the hotel as elegant.Helpful staff, very nice room(they give me free-upgrade, i did reservation classic room, but they give me Deluxe room), good breakfast and location, especialy, Very nice comfortable hotel's water-taxi (if you want to go to Murano, only need 15 Min.) It's 0 euro(free)!. The friendliness and helpfulness of the Hotel staff, the decor and theluxury made us feel like we were in a Palace. We cannot fault the hotel,it is the best we have ever stayed in and made our holiday anunforgetable experience. The breakfast selection could have been better but overall it wassatisfactory.The breakfast buffet was nice, but could have included eggs, which were now only available as extras (for 8 EUR). the shower in our room was weird - but I'm really struggling to find criticism. Shower was not handy, more a kind of design miracle - there was no possibility to fix it to wall. Our room has very small window, so it was dim. But those are really small complaints. The directions to the hotel were a little difficult to follow. Though everyone in Venice seems to know where to find the square in which it sits.We has a jacuzzi bath and personally i would have prefered a shower. the continental breakfast was poor on the 2nd day of our visit. only one staff member who wasn't very good.We stay on the top floor and the sound of raindrops was a bit irritated at night. The internet plug was in the oposite wall of the room desk's. Breakfast could have more variety.Little bit too noisy in the morning: syrena and motorboats, but after two days it didn't disturb too much. well its not that close to the saint marco,s sq.The selections of breakfast, more would be better.

Travelling information

Coming from the airport, you can take the waterbus Alilaguna that leaves from the small pier, 100 meters from the Terminal and reach Venice in approx. one Hour. You can take the Orange Line to get off at Rialto or the Blu Line and then get off at San Zaccaria.
From Rialto Station walk to Calle Larga Mazzini. At the end of the Calle, walk to the left through the square with the statue of Carlo Goldoni and take the porch to your right: this is Calle della Bissa. From here, walk straight in front of you, cross the bridge and continue in Salizzada San Lio After about 100 meters, turn to the left in Calle del Mondo Novo, cross the bridge, walk in front of you and will find yourself in Campo Santa Maria Formosa. The Ruzzini Palace Hotel will be on your left.
If you get off at San Zaccaria, follow Calle delle Rasse, which will be on your left by the Hotel Danieli. When you come to Salizada di San Provolo, turn left towards Campo S.S. Filippo e Giacomo. Continue in Calle di Rio della Chiesa on your right and after crossing the bridge, take Calle Castagna. After a short distance, you will come to Ruga Giuffa: immediately turn left, cross the bridge and you will find yourself in Campo Santa Maria Formosa. The Ruzzini Palace Hotel will be in front of you.
Coming from Piazzale Roma ( the bus Terminal) or the train station Santa Lucia, you can take waterbus number 1 that through the Grand Canal will take you to Rialto, which is the stop where you will get off.
From the waterbus station it is a 10 minute walk. The Hotel is situated in Campo Santa Maria Formosa and will be very easy to get directions to it.
Anyway, when you get off, walk to your left in Riva del Carbon, cross a little bridge and then turn to the right in Calle Larga Mazzini. At the end of the Calle, walk to the left through the square with the statue of Carlo Goldoni and take the porch to your right: this is Calle della Bissa.
