The Palazzo Cendon has a wonderful and helpful staff; both desk and breakfast room. Our room was very clean and comfortable. What was a cut above was the complimentary bottle of Spumonti! Nice touch. May I also add, that prior to our trip we had contacted the hotel for directions on how to find them. A staff member called and gave them to us over the phone. very convenient location for sight seeing, shopping and eating, girls at desk all extremely helpful with whatever we needed. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely stay here again ourselves.

Also for later arrivals the availability to re stock the content was poor. Bit tricky to find especially if you were to arrive after dark.The hotel was very small in a not so nice part of Venice and hard to find, but once we finally found it, it was very nice. Not the most central part of Venice.Rooms could have been cleaned more often perhaps, stayed for five nightsand our room was cleaned only once, although clean towels were provided. Even for Venice off season rates it is not cheap. No tea/coffee facility in rooms. Very noisy extractor in bathroom. Despite catering for few guests, a (typical Italalian?) pretty meagre breakfast choice. No cheese both days of our stay, no bread for toast first day, only apricot yoghurts one day, apricot or natural the next.Rather poor breakfast. The cleaning lady had rearranged completely all our things in the room which was too much. We stayed in "mansarde"/attic floor and, although it was still springtime, the room was rather hot due to the sun shining on the roof. Our room was right beside the kitchen. So it was hard to sleep from 8 to 10 in the morning.Especially, not. There was an awful smell in the room, which was on the top floor. We were told the smell came from the drains. Also, the hotel was difficult to find, the entrance being down an alley and there being no sign; you have to check the numbers on the wall beside the canal and then go down the nearest alley. It was more than a 5 minute walk from the station, especially carrying cases.small breakfast-room.

Palazzo Cendon - Il Piano Antico overlooks the Canal di Cannaregio, the second biggest canal in Venice after the Gran Canal, a short walk from the Train Station and the ancient Ghetto. Cà D’Oro and Rialto are a 15 minutes walk away.
