The hotel is just beautiful. It's a three hundred year old Palazzo that has been meticulously restored, with great attention to detail and luxury. Our room was quite outstanding - extremely " high tech" ( comment from our 21 year old who was very impressed!) combined with traditional, lavish furnishings - drapes, pelmets, wallpaper, furniture ; if you are into design and interior decorating, this is the place! We felt very welcomed and " at home" in beautiful surroundings. The staff were incred.

The location was perfect for walking everywhere and easy access from the water taxi at Rialto bridge....just remember to turn at the Disney store and you'll always find it! We did eat in the restaurant one night and it was very good. Our waiter was excellent and I'm pretty sure he is the only Italian waiter to have smiled at us our whole trip (no joke!) We also had a couples massage one evening. Though I would not say it is a "spa" . Hotel Ai Reali is a very luxurious hotel in the heart of Venice, they have a water dock entry and this made my travel from the airport on the water taxi very easy. The staff was fantastic and very helpful, I was traveling alone and their constant assitance and recomendations put my mind as ease. My room was magical with high carved celings, windows to the canal, beautiful murano glass chandeleries and anitique furniture. I felt like I was staying in a very special hotel with old world charm m. Fantastic hotel in a perfect location. Only a 2 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge, or a 5 minute stroll to St. Mark's Square and yet on a very quiet and secluded little square and on a picturesque canal. It has its own entrance on the canal which makes for a nice entrance by water taxi. Inside, the hotel is very elegant and tasteful. We had a deluxe room which was very spacious and beautifully decorated. It even had a terrace with a table and chairs. Very comfortable and peaceful, and the shutte. Tout ! This hotel is just perfect, renovated in the spirit of Venician palaces, it of. This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed in around the world. The staff is absolutely amazing, friendly and very helpfull. (they all speak perfect english) One of the great things is that they have a free private boat to the incredible glass island Murano that takes you to a factory and you can see first hand how they make these world famous glass sculptures which is incredible The breakfast is more then amazing and caters for everyone. I really recommed the little "chocolate bombs" the. A real gem and hidden treasure... An outstanding hotel - pure luxury on every level. Divine rooms - even the small double was a treat and an oasis of high standard.... The spa was worth every penny - although you have to pay, we knew this on arrival and were the only ones using it - heaven! Staff friendly and very helpful. They helped book our transfers for a very early morning transfer to and from the hotel. We travel extensively and we would highly rec. I left behind my Diesel jacket with a large amount of money in the front pocket inside my room when we left for Croatia. When I realised my loss I was on the ferry on my way to Croatia and no chance for return back to the hotel so I phoned Filippo (the kindest ever man on earth working as a staff member @ Hotel Ai Reali) He went through a lot of effort to courier my jacket with all its content to Paris. Coming from South- Africa this was a huge gesture of integrity and I wish Filippo grace and . We loved the hotel. It is very new having opened around 8 months ago. The rooms are wonderfully glamourous and a very welcome respite after a day walking around what was for us a very hot Venice. The staff are incredibly polite and helpful. The hotel is still in the final stages of being finished but it was extremely quiet and relaxing. There is a lovely, cool courtyard to enjoy an early evening drink. Dinner at the hotel was most enjoyable with a few unexpected treats provided at no extra cost. The incredible staff, who did everything to go out of their way to get to know you, show you around the hotel (including an out of the way 18th C. marble staircase). The hotel is a peaceful oasis in the middle of one of the busiest areas of the city. We booked the junior suite and were delighted to be upgraded to the suite since the hotel was full. Breakfast was okay at best. There was no toaster to toast your bread and selections were slim. I Definetly expected more out of this hotel. Also, would it kill the front staff to actually smile at you? Or even act friendly instead of condescending? A smile and hello at check in could go a long way......just saying. Nothing, this was a dream Hotel and I loved everything about it. Certain facilities still being installed (such as gym, wine celler etc) but once they are in place, the hotel will have everything you could want. The bathroom was on the small side (especially relative to our large room) but it had a huge walk-in shower which was wonderful!. Rien ! Nothing !. Absolutely nothing. There was really nothing not to like because everything was perfect!. Very little to say other than very difficult to find so print a map with all the street names on it if you plan to get the water bus. A water taxi is 80 euros from the railway station! Once you find the hotel it is actually perfectly located....only a 10 minute walk to St Marks Square through some wonderful streets. The canal view wasn't much. I was spoiled by an earlier stay this year by a stay at the Pesaro Palace this year with a three window view out onto the Grand Canal. When the PP could not provide that, and after reading tripadvisor reviews of the back views, I cancelled that and am glad I did. Still, the view of the small canal was not great from the first floor and there wasn't much to see. I rarely say there isn't something to improve upon but Hotel Ai Reali did a great job. Will definitely come back!. Minor point. Some of the facilities aren't finished yet, eg the fitness suite, but will be this year, and anyway running round the calle and campi of Venice combines physical and cerebral exercise! Otherwise no problems. We would happily stay there again. nothing at all. Apart from the cost, we would not change a thing. Nothing. Nothing. being able to stay longer!. Nothing to dislike about this hotel. Nothing, enjoyed our stay immensely. Nothing to fault. Air conditioning was hard to get temperature right. It would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board in the room. When you've just flown in (we started at 5.30am in Tromso and got to the hotel at 7.30pm) it's nice to go out to dinner in reasonable-looking clothes. Also, at least 1 TV channel in English (and not BBC News or CNN) would also have been nice. After all, they have TV channels in Korean, Cuban (?) and Arabic. Not a big deal - you don't go to Venice to watch TV. Nothing really - the airco in our room did not work so we got an upgrade after two days. Nothing to dislike. Absolutely nothing. Canal outside - work starts at 7:30 am so can be an early wake up !. We were totally satisfied with our stay. I wasn't able to sleep in at all on both days due to being on the canal and the workers making a racket every morning. I wasn't too bothered though :). Nothing...the hotel was the perfect boutique hotel!. nothing. Nothing. It was perfect.
