When we arrived at the hotel from the outside we wondered what we were staying in but once inside any reservations disappeared! The staff were very helpful, the room lovely and spacious and the bathroom was spotless and very big - shower big and very hot and powerful. Breakfast room was a little small but the variety and freshness of all the food was fantastic for a continental breakfast. all reviews »
The hotel is located close to the main train station, so getting to The Vatican was no hassle. It took about 20 minutes to walk to get to Trevi fountain or to the Colosseum from the hotel. The room was new, modern and clean and the breakfast was more than adequate. The staff were pleasant and welcoming and overall it was great value for money.Excellent location. Nicely newly remodelled - modern furniture and bathroom fixtures. Very clean. Room safe and mini-fridge. Great cold breakfast menu and breakfast room. Charming old elevator. Nice English speaking staff. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well presented and easily accessible. Overall great value for money. Moreover the hotel is very clean, very good location, good breakfast, it's calm... etc. I highly recommend this hostel.Cleanliness of the room was perfect, breakfasts very good (except the ham and the cups for tea might be bigger, you would even spare some tea bags :-) ), nice location and perfect people and service. location of the hotel was very good, the hotel was also easy to find and the room was nice (spacious and clean). The lift was a bit temperamental but worked for the majority of the time and had a lot of character to it so if it had the odd hiccup that was to be expected!. Corner shower stall was small with short shower curtain - impossible to shower without water on bathroom floor. Hotel aware this needs attention to preserve new decor and plans to rectify. Price of room was the same as friend's room, but theirs was larger with tub/shower.Room overlooking street with late night restaurants so quite noisy.Ear-plugs would have been useful!!. nothing at all ,, everything is OK. As is the case in almost every city, the area around the train station is not the city's finest. The area is not very attractive and I was somewhat uneasy about some of the people hanging around the area, but my 14 year old daughter and I never felt that we were in danger. Maybe the breakfast could be a little bit improved.Elevator is not comfortable. Strange smell in bathroom!. Only the elevator... is very old... The ac didnt seem to work, so we kept our window open, which helpeda lot. But the city doesnt sleep, so it was pretty noisy. But we sawit as an early wake up call! There is so much to do, there isnt anytime to sleep!. If peace and quiet is your thing avoid rooms on the front of the hotel as there isa lot of street noise all through the night with Revellers/street cleaners/delivery vans etc. the coffee from the automatic coffee machine at the breakfast room - strange taste. Breakfast not a good experience. Arrived at 9.45 and pastries/cakes all finished. Staff in room not over helpfull, very noisy talking amongst themselves. Not very professional image. The elevator sometimes dosent work. I like this hotel!. small breakfast room.Refreegerator didn't work. breakfast room was a bit small if more than 8 people enter @ once. The only thing I would worry about would be the heat of summer, since there is no air conditioning. Or if the elevator was out of commission, we were on the fourth floor and it would be quite a trip up all those stairs. The length of the bed was not sufficient for someone who is 1m87.the coffee and juices at breakfast were not good at all. Orange juice from a box would be the least to ask for (and would make so much more difference compared to this chemical stuff available).
