Catia was there to greet us and looked after us on a very personable level. The hotel was amazing. For us it had the best view in Rome. It was like being inside the Colesseum we were so close. If we went back we wouldn't hesitate to book and we would book out travel times on this hotels availability because we really don't think that any other hotel offers what they do. I am also a really fussy traveller and I'm never satisfied with anything due to having a life in the top hotels due to work. S.
all reviews » Well... we had the view- so there wasn't much more to focus on! It was so easy to find from the metro and the um huge site right outside the doors. This hotel is above a restaurant with the same name. We got a key to enter through the side whenever we wanted. We were on the third floor (they'd say second in Italy) with stairs, but it was no problem for us. The room was huge and I could have held a party in that bathroom. The shower was amazing. The a/c was one of the strongest in my experience. the location is excellent.. with views of colloseum!! so close you could touch it! (almost!) the staff are friendly and all very beautiful, pristine and well turned out.. the food is amazing.if you eat upstairs then you have the view again.. really spectacular.. clean rooms.. no complaints whatsoever.. and you get money off your drinks/food because you are staying there! im coming back very soon! highly recommend this hotel!!its amust!!. The location was great - directly across the street from the Coliseum. If you do not mind walking you can get to most of the major sites in Rome without any problem. There is a Metro stop very near. The staff was very helpful and made our stay very pleasant. We eat at their roof top restaurant and had a fabulous meal with a great view. Great couple of days stay, staff were great and we were made to feel at home from the start. I know some people had moaned online about the late music and street noise but that comes with the hotel possition and entertainment offered. Wont hear me moan ! and would go back tomorrow. The staff was very friendly and the food was better there than at nearby restaurants. A bonus was that they had several nights in a row of bachelorette parties which was great entertainment. The hotel is small, right across the street from the Colloseum. I knew the staff from the first day, and I felt very at home there. I could chat with them over breakfast and practice my Italian (they do speak English too). The room was big and spacy, with a big bathroom. We loved everything. The staff, cleanliness, friendliness... It was perfect. The street next to it is noisy but we had no problems with it. We had our windows open all night and we are definitely used to noise. It is very close to everything and this was a big plus. The location was great! The view was amazing! The room and the bathroom were a good size. The room was a little noisy at night- I wish I had brought some ear plugs, but even without them I was so exhausted from the city that it only took a few minutes before I collapsed! The wifi never worked in our room but did work on my friends phone in the breakfast area. The food is very expensive all around the area and we dropped about 90 euros for lunch and again at dinner for three of us. No complaints here. The internet connection. The hotel is above a restaurant/bar which can be loud late some nights, but we didn't have a hard time falling asleep. The shower head needs to be replaced, the water barely trickled out. Internet connection was unbearable, its free, but its useless in the room. We stayed in room 201 for reference (top floor). I'm guessing their only router was on the bottom floor. Breakfast was not open at 0800 when we were leaving for tours, not convenient timings. Heater didn't work in bathroom, which remained very, very cold. Wifi reception was poor and internet speed slow at times. As previous reviewers have said, this is not a quiet hotel. But - the bar in the hotel terrace quieted by 11pm so it did not disturb our sleep. We travelled with 2 school aged kids. If you are in bed by 11 in Rome (even with kids) you are missing out on the fun!. There was nothing to complain about!. There was no elevator so it was a bit difficult getting to our room with our young son, stroller, and bags. It's a bit dated but still nice. There was nothing that I did not like about this place. It was cold in the room, also it was a bit loud in the night. Beds were quite hard and the area is very noisy. Renovations going on in an adjacent property and lots of restaurant noise carried to our room. There was a setee but it was too hard to sit on for more than a minute.Room good for short stays. ALL other staff gave us odd stares and "no englise" with a shrug of their shoulders. Single bed was in such poor state that it would have been better sleeping on the floor. Constant noise from traffic, and then bad music (Latin karaoke) at night. The internet only worked near the doorway, and the bidet did not work,. Rediculous Noise from outside, below restaurant, side restaurant and side street!!! I couldn't wait to leave! Partying going on till 3:00am and then machine crushing all the glass bottles after closing and vacuum running. Windows don't block out noise. Wifi only near door, NOT Inside room. AC does not reach bedroom. A little run down. My room had a loose toilet seat, the safe and air con didn;t work. We have arrived on march 8th (international Women's Day) and there was a party happening on the restaurant below the Hotel. We confirmed with the reception that this party would end at mid night, but it didn't happen. The noisy sound persisted until 02am. If the hotel would make available room for this dates, should, at least, aware the customers or charge for a cheaper fee. Also, the heating system from our room was not working.
