We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at Hotel Casa Boccassini for our honeymoon. The hotel is tucked away and we did have to look hard to find it however if you do your research beforehand it will be easy to locate. Cheap for Venice but still well over 100 euros per night. Cean
comfortable and with lovely garden giving friendly homely feel. In a
quieter part of Venice which is a huge plus after battling through the
crowds around Rialto and St Marks square. Still only a few minutes walk
from centre so why pay more for a slightly more central location?
Receptionist didn't speak English but extremely helpful, friendly
and polite. Breakfast in garden was not the most generous but in a
delightful setting.

The location was more than excellent! It was very easy to find even for those who don't know Venice. It was very near to the main square and to the "vaporetto" stations. Nice location, just besides the water bus stop.The streets in Venice are so complicated that makes you easy to get lost, but the Pensione Guerrato is very easy to find. The place is easy to find and easy to go to everywhere.
The single room is big enough for one person and is clean. They make it clean everyday.
Even though it is shared bathroom I found it not very busily used so I don't have to wait for long. But you need bring your own shampoo and showering gel.

Casa Petrarca was a wonderful place to stay in beautiful Venezia! The location is hard to beat in my opinion, less that 5 minutes to Piazza San Marco, 10 minutes to the Rialto bridge. As soon as you step inside you feel the friendliness and warmth of a family-based business. We had a room with a canal view, the beds were cozy and the shower great - all of this more than made up for the humble furnishings. Just 5 minutes from the station, and the restaurant next door is good. We won't bother looking anywhere else for our stays in Venice.
