Sabrina, the owner, was fantastic answering all my pre-trip questions, and she helped make the stay great. We had no issues paying with a credit card, and even able to use a different card than the one pre-authorized. The location is amazing - right next to the Duomo - and close to everything. We particularly enjoyed the balcony during the rare time we were in the room. It was nice to have a kettle in the room, so we had instant oatmeal we brought to have more than the pre-packaged breads. all reviews » The best thing about this place by far is the location. We literally were looking at the Duomo from both windows in the room (we had the corner "Butterfly" room, which was nice.) The room was large, especially for Florence standards, and the staff was nice, although only there for a few morning hours. Compared to other hotels, this place was a very good value. I do love the hotel and wish to come back.The location is very good,right next the central building Duomo,so it's a good price at such location,as well as the room is comfortable. The reception lady treated us very well(although we only got a chance to meet her in the next morning) altough she speaks not very good english. Location is great, few steps from the Duomo. You can find many restaurants and bars nearby. The staff is super friendly and helpful—since I got to the B&B at 9 p.m., they gave me instructions by email on how to get in (digital codes for each door), and I hadn't even paid any fees!. The staff was very helpful and kind. They made my stay comfortable. The room was very nice and the location was in the center of town. Within walking distance from the train station and surrounding sites. I enjoyed my visit there. - the location is perfect - the room is modern and romantic at the same time - the staff is understanding and helpful. Location is very good for city trips. The drawback of having such an excellent location is the street noise. I used earplugs, so it didn't really bother me. FYI - for those who need wifi, the canopy/balcony room is the further from the office and does not receive wifi. Unfortunately, the other reviews saying how noisy the hotel was are correct. It has old, single-paned windows, which let all of the noise from the people, cars, and construction below right into your room. Also, breakfast is not good - some prepackaged baked goods. This is not a hotel - there is no staff there other than for about 4 hours in the morning, so don't expect things like restaurant recommendations in the evenings. But for us, the positives far outweighed the negatives. The check in time is odd,there's no one at the reception after noon,so you have to contact with them ahead if you can't arrive the hotel in the morning, to get two pairs of code of the main door and the hotel door. The bathroom is super small, the sink is pretty much inside the shower. But it was very clean. It was acceptable, though. They requested payment at time of arrival in the form of cash only. Although, they stated that they take credit cards at the time of booking. - breakfasts could have been better. The old lady at the reception was a bit strange, coming into the room without knocking and communication was difficult. Room small, but ok for the price. Some problems with my credit card (they locked the cost of the first night, then I payed them in cash the whole price, but the cost of the first night was given me back only in two weeks after my claim in my bank in Moscow). Sometimes there's too noisy in the street where my window faced on. Besides, it could be cleaner - a lot of dust on the floor, hair in the shower and some smell. The reception is almost always empty - they work only from 10 to 13, so I have never seen the director. as my room was right in front of the reception, I could hear every guest who were checked-in and out (early morning). Very small double room- no space to eat the very small breakfast. Very noisy at night because of the location. Double or secondary glazing would help a lot. - Bad and noisy bed - small room - the italian breakfest (cornetti and expresso) at the bar in the street included in the price of the room : the bar opens at 9 am. Too late for a museum visit day. (we had 2 breakfeast in a raw the day after!) - AC smells bad (not cleaning filter?). The room is near the ventilation system, which is a little loud especially during the night. No lift and no one to help you to the second floor with your luggages. Staff was weird and they were pushing us to check out at 10.15 am. Breakfast was lovely however including low taste Italian biscuits. Blanket was very dirty.
