  Beautiful grounds, the view of the cascades, the front of hotel was gorgeous. The spa was fantastic, outdoor hot tub was a real treat. Pool at night time provided a great ambience. Sauna with glass wall again contributed to lovely atmosphere. Lovely service in Thai restaurant and a great meal. Breakfast had great selection also. Location was great... what people say » so close to lahinch and many other Clare attractions. - Location is excellent Food was really excellent Other local facilities were easy to get to i.e Cliffs of Moher, Lahinch Golf and Lisdoonvarna and Doolin not far away in this lovely part of Co.   I stayed post valentines day with my partner and unexpectedly got engaged! It was a perfect setting and I adored the decor of the courtyard suites...was only sorry we could not stay and enjoy them longer. Staff were very friendly but not intrusive. We ate in Darbys which struck a nice balance between good (not gourmet) food and relaxed atmosphere.... what people say » Breakfast in the long room, if lucky enough to have a window seat, is pretty special as well. This is not a cheap hotel but off peak it's amazingly g - Doonbeg reminded me of withering heights driving up to it but has the luxury fell inside like an old manor .   The staff were very friendly and efficient. I didnt use the pool but myboyfriend did and he was very pleased with it. The room/bathroom itselfwas very spacious and comfortable. Nice restaurant and bar, the latterstays open until 3.00am. - We booke 2 twin rooms and on arrival were given a lovely big suite,it suited our need perfectly for that evenin... what people say » g as we could sit and watch the six nations game in comfort whist having a few drinks together.
