The staff were very helpful both at reception and dinning areas. We arrived early in the morning at 10.00am and the reception staff checked us in and held our luggage in their store, they told us to return at 14.00 hrs and our room would be ready. When we returned at 15.00 our room was ready. The Reception staff explained that the hotel was full the night before and that was the reason for us being unable to go to our room at 10.00. The breakfast was lovely and the staff there were very attenti.
all reviews » The beds were comfortable & the shower had good pressure so lots of hot water. There were also lots of power points in room which is always a bonus for travelers. The breakfast service was fast and the food was good - best hot coffee I've had on my trip. I cant comment on other meals as we only had the breakfasts. Good central location. You can get a coach from the airport to O'connell street for €7 one way or €12 return & it is only a few minutes walk from their to the hotel. We had a . I recently stayed at Wynns Hotel for the fourth time in a couple of years, and really love the place. My Son and myself both had lovely comfortable, clean and quiet rooms facing the rear of the hotel as requested. The rooms were as usual very clean and the staff very polite and friendly. the location of the hotel is perfect for shopping and exploring Dublin. Breakfast in the beautiful dining room is always a real treat as it is waiter service and very well cooked, and piping hot. Cant wait to c. This historic hotel was located right in the centre of the tourist attractions an shopping areas, hop in hop off bus and airport link bus very close. The ability to adjust heating in the room was great as a lot of hotels we have stayed in are stifling and no options to turn off heat. Staff were excellent, we got a nice warm welcome at reception when booking in and the head guy at breakfast was really professional and friendly. The bathroom was lovely especially the jacuzzi bath tub. The staff were all delightful. Loved the old style flavor to my room and its decor. The location was so very convenient being close to many tourist attractions and/or transport to reach the attractions. Tram passes the front door and buses to airport jyst a 5 minute walk from Hotel. I stayed at Wynns hotel last week for the second time in a year. I had a quiet, clean and very comfortable room facing the back of the Hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the city on foot. The staff were all very polite, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was in the lovely victorian dining room and was waiter service.I had the full breakfast, which was delicious. I really love the building and all the original featurs, and look forward to visiting agin. A wonderfully relaxing hotel situated in the heart of the city. The bedrooms were very comfortable, crisp bed linen and feather pillows. The staff were very attentive and obliging and we loved the public rooms. The hotel was established in the mid 1800's and thank goodness they havent tried to modernize the bar and dining area's because they are charming and traditional and very comfortable. Also it was great value for money with a very nice breakfast. Great price. Lovely atmosphere & ambience - old world charm but not run down. The Hotel was elegant, just like going back in time but keeping that modern twist where it needed. For personal reasons I had to extend my stay at short notice on a day-by-day basis to a total of three days. Staff were extremely understanding and obliging and facilitated me despite heavy bookings at the hotel. Price for the second night was at the original agreed rate and was actually reduced for the third night. All was perfect. Location, room, breakfast and service. Also hotel was full of Florida geriatrics, which I find is much better than hotel filled with young families. Nice and quiet. Old world feel to the place without any pretence. if travelling to Dublin via train. it is ideally located with the Luas (tram) from the train station to take you to the door. They made a 2 day business trip more enjoyable. Wynns is a wonderful old hotel steeped in history. Like many old hotels, the rooms could be larger but the room facilities are excellent. I stayed twice within a week and enjoyed both visits. My rooms were very pleasant. An excellent breakfast is served at table. I didn't catch his name but the host at breakfast was very helpful and polite. The location was convenient, the staff extremely helpful and our room was most comfortable. Having an excellent dining room in the hotel was a bonus when the weather was wet and cold. Nothing to dislike. Bed was comfortable but a bit on the small size. Bedspread on my bed... dated and too heavy and too dark... which made me wonder how clean it was. The bedding should be updated. Did not like having this on my bed at all. Nothing in particular was bad really. Breakfast would be a 8/10 - it was perfectly suitable but didnt wow. Some may not like the muffled traffic/Luas noise but I personally like the city sounds. You would have to be a wild light sleeper to be kept awake by it - my husband (who is a light sleeper) wasn't bothered. The bed cover was sort of a lazy-man's duvet- it was the bedspread wrapped with a sheet. That is annoying because it falls apart when you actually use the bed. Everything else was fine. There was nothing we didn't like ... The room was rather small (though adequate) and the other half would have liked a small fridge in the room. you'd have to look hard to find something you didn't like about this hotel. There was nothing I didn't like. There was absolutely nothing to dislike. The lift is extremely slow. It's an old fashioned facility. I'd rather walk up and down stairs from time to time. Room is quite small. No fridge in the room. My friend thought it was a bit noisy in the night due to the road traffic. But I found it not a problem at all for sleep. no decent parking unless you get lucky. Difficult to stop car outside if traffic is heavy. The first night the price was considerably higher because of a football match in town. The second night the price was much more reasonable. could not find a fault. The server in the breakfast cafe was very rude and slow. I was shocked at how she treated me, but observed her treating others that way as well. Otherwise, the hotel is a bit dated and could use some freshening up, although it isn't bad for an older hotel. The room keys. nothing. There was nothing I did not like. There was nothing I didn't like about Wynn's!. I had specifically searched for free parking & on arrival I was informed that the car park was full so the car will be taken to another car park but we'll have to pay for it. It was €8 for the night & a further €10 for the next day but in the end we were only charged €2.50 which wasn't bad. The drug addicts that were hanging around the rear street of the hotel . Most of what one would want to see is on the other side of the river. It wasn't that great just for walking around, and I had a hard time finding restaurants that appealed to me. I travel occassionally solo and as with all hotels I dont like the single supplement. The handle on our bathroom door was very tarnished, it needed a good polish!. Nothing. Maybe the glass of 'Pioot Gritio' for €7.00!! a bit pricey. Nothing!. Bathroom was old style, they could remodel it... Bedroom a bit cramped and awkward to get around. Beds were uncomfortable.Some rooms were very noisily just single glass windows. Breakfast fry up was a bit crapy it's a good hotel don't spoil it by dishing out crapy food its the last thing you have in a hotel and that whats makes a difference Scottish hotels use good Scottish products and it stands out so use good irish products and be proud of it. This time we found the room very small and daily it appeared to diminish in size as we arrived back with more Christmas shopping. Nothing. In our opinion the hotel was perfect, thanks to all staff!!. Nothing.
