I recently stayed at pearse hotel with 2 friends who I havnt seen in a long time so in order to have a catch up we decided to go to the olly murs concert and this hotel seemed perfect. The lady on reception was extremely helpful as we got lost but she was more that happy to help us, she was also very polite and welcoming when we arrived and organised our taxi to the gig as we were running a bit late. There was also a guy in the bar who brought our room service to out rooms and when we came down.
all reviews » Staff were very accomodating,as two young people most hotels assume we will be noisey,they did their very best to treat us equally and were very polite and proffesional at all times,there was a bit of a mix up with our booking when we arrived they did not have our booking on the computer but the gent at the reception was most helpful and fixed us a room immedietly even giving us the best room in the hotel for the same price it was relaxed and we felt very welcome i would definatley stay here ag. We visited Dublin for a show at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre and the location of Pearse Hotel was ideal - about 3 minutes walk from the theatre. A little further from the shopping and nightlife (15mins walk?) but still do-able. Staff were friendly and informative. Hotel was good value for money, clean and comfy. Ihave to say the hotel looked and felt lovely & warm & the staff were the most friendly staff I have come across in all my time staying in hotels they greeted us with a smile and gave us a 100% attetion and made clear that they were their to help us I would stay here again. The hotel was excellent value for money and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the food in the bar was good. The hotel was also in a very convenient location. I would happily stay here again and have recommended it to friends and colleagues. The hotel was clean and warm, the location was very convenient and the reception staff were pleasant and efficient. It was also good of them to let us use the car park for a few hours after checkout the following day, while we went around town. Lovely friendly staff from the moment we entered the hotel to the moment we left. Every department was friendly which was genuine. Based on the friendliness of the staff last year we booked with them this year and hopefully again next year. My husband is a wheelchair user so the facilities were excellent we went to Dublin for a concert at the 02 and the hotel was within a 15 min walk to the 02 and also temple bar so very central. The price was excellent for 4 of us b&b. The room was very clean and the general look of the hotel was clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were going to a concert at the O2 which was only a 15 minute walk across the river. Good value for money. staff were really lovely, lady in reception really helpful & friendly. waiter in breakfast room couldn't be nicer, this is our 3rd stay & he really makes you feel welcome. room was clean & comfortable.breakfast was great. Check in and out was quick and pleasant. The room was perfectly equipped. We ate at the restaurant which exceeded our expectations and was also not expensive. The breakfast was fine but not quite so good as when I stayed last year. We were going out to Howl at the Moon so it was in a perfect location for us. It's only up the road from Pearse St dart station and not far from Grafton St and Henry St so I'd recommend it to tourists when visting the city. I liked how close the Pearse Hotel is to The o2 and how close it is to the m7 bus stop. It is centrally located and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody who is visiting Dublin for The o2 or surrounding area'S. We were offered a choice of the backor front of the hotel. Although the room looked out on to a brick wall it was fine for the one night we stayed there. We also had the choice of whether we had the heating on or off. The rooms were quite large and very comfortable. The location was central with Pearse Street station and Trinity college within walking distance. The rooms were quite and there was no disturbance from outside noises. The room was very clean,well laid out ,with a lovely en suite.The staff were friendly and helpful .The bar menu was excellent and price wise very reasonable.I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends. Very comfortable and clean. Front desk staff was very helpful. Ordered taxi for us, answered all questions and provided excellent (and free) city maps. Walkable location to city sights. Absolutely no complaints. Staff was VERY accommodating.We were able to check in early and Catherine at the front desk was more than helpful when we had to find a different rental car . Location is excellent, staff is more then ok, breakfast was good, we got answers to all our questions, staff helped us in organizing tours, taxes were there in time, barman was very friendly... Very good value, spotless, very busy due to a lot of shows on in Dublin, only one waitress on duty serving a full house but She was excellent doing her work under pressure, our meal was 1st class. we will be back. It is in a great location, good value for money and very friendly and helpful staff. good value, comfortable and clean hotel. The spacious 2 bedroom family room with two big beds, the fantastic location downtown, the fact that the rooms were quiet despite being in a very busy street. We had a puncture outside of hotel and the staff could not have been more helpful. The maintenance man fixed it and helped us get to the carpark quickly. it was nice having quad room,so we could spend whole weekend together.staff very friendly and willing to do anything for you.made a nice friendly stay. I have to say the night porter upon our arrival home from the gig was very rude to us and abrupt when we asked if the residents bar was open after all we were just three young girls lookin for a catch up. Although we booked a triple room we only had two towels and wen we phoned and requested a third one it never arrived so two of us had to share, also the shower in our room seemed to have a mind of its own and it kept changing temperature. I have no complaints about this hotel:). Decor was a bit dated..didn't visit Dublin to admire the hotel room though!. The only thing I found it further from the aviva then I thaught it would be..but that is not the hotel fault. It may be a small thing, but when we got to the Hotel it looked like the hotel bar had just received an order of lucozade and there was a lot of large empty plastic bottle coverings on the path outside the hotel which were not removed between checking in, leaving our stuff in the room and heading back out about 20/25 mins later. As I said it was a small thing but it would be a shame to mar someone's first impression with this as the hotel was clean and modern. Pillows on the bed poor despite website talking about selection of pillows. Very flat pillows. Only 1 extra pillow in each room. In my booking I requested smoking rooms. This was not taken as a priority. We did get smoking rooms after I requested them again. It's 10 euro a day to park the car at the hotel. it was a bit expensive this time as there was a concert at the aviva. The breakfast wasn't the best at all, there wasn't ,much of a selection to eat and it's definitely not worth 10 euro each, you would be better to just pay for the room and eat breakfast out. The staff where a bit unfriendly when we returned to the hotel after the concert, the barman was nice and friendly but the reception fella's weren't as friendly. The rooms are quite dated with very worn carpets, chipped baths and stains on the walls. The breakfast was very pricey so I didn't eat at the hotel but from a cafe down the road. The internet is an extra cost also. There is no free Wi-Fi, it should be there even it would have to be included in the price that is higher a bit. I have nothing negative to say. Keep up the fantastic work, I have no problem in recommending friends to stay at Pearse Hotel. The decor in the en suite bathroom was very 70's. Only thing i didn't like was i couldn't have stayed longer. The room was dated and a tired looking but saying that they were very clean & tidy. no residents bar. Very thin pillows, but when we requested extra pillows they were brought to our room straight away. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. Nothing to complain about, but we should have taken a taxi to the hotel as we had a suitcase. Showers varied from scorching to cold without turning controls Second day, only one of the four of us had a shower because of this We were on the third floor and could hear water ? tanks above bathroom . The only thing i didn't like was we couldn't get a late checkout it was no big deal though because it was very busy :). nothing. I have no complaints at all. no dislikes. The only thing I didn't like about hotel was that you had to pay for Wi-Fi which is free in other hotels. Didn't' really have anything to complain about really,maybe at breakfast we were waiting a bit for the staff member to refill the orange juice, but that really a big issue. No rose wine of flavoured ciders in bar ie kopperberg. No free WiFi here it's €6 or something like that? Any other hotels I've stayed in anywhere, it's free!!. Room was very hot but then we shouldn't complain about a heatwave!. At breakfast you are meant to help yourself to the Tea/Coffee in a water jug awful taste from the water asked for a pot of tea and was told we do not serve pots!! asked another waiter and he obliged. No free internet (in fact quite expensive), no fridge in the room, breakfast was rather basic (e.g. only toast bread, no fresh fruit), plates in the breakfast were not always clean, staff was not always very helpful. Hard to get into the carpark at certain times of day due to one way system.
