Every room had a parking space alotted to it... Was close to the cityonly cost €15 for taxi and they were continously passing the door. Theresidents bar was brilliant and alot cheaper than dublin prices!!! Andthere was no real closing time aslong as we didnt get too round. One ofthe most comfortable bed i've ever slept in! And great value for money.Definately reccommend stayin here. We stayed in a very comportable room, it was newly decorated and very clean, all the staff were very friendly and professional and the food was very good.

The electric kettle did not work in the room but this was not a problem as I did not spend very much time in the room and food and drinks were readily available. No everything was great. Should provide soap in the shower, was only a soap dispenser by thesink.Food and drink were awfully expensive which just encouraged us to spend very little time there. Feel the hotel needs modernising on the front, entrance uninviting until you reach the lobby. No clock. some rooms e.g. single could do with a make over. If arriving on the day of a game in Croke Park, arrive early to ensure you get a parking space in the hotel grounds. could do with a bit of a clean up on some floors at entry to lift area. did not like the bar . it was very dirty and worn out furnishings. Everything was good, the rooms were spotless and very warm, my only constructive criticism would be the size of the rooms, a lot of people going to the match who stayed at the hotel said that the rooms were very small but compact with everything in them.Room was kind of small. Hard to maneuver around the chairs and beds. Also, there were noisy neighbors across the hall, but it was a Sat. night. Just a point. No guest manual in room - for general guidance on TV and Breakfast times etc.as reported to receptionjist on duty - both of the tv in bedroom were out of order. table lamp did not work. bedside light did not operate from bedside switch. no information in bedroom about mealtimes in restaurant or bar. Small Bathroom, TV kept breaking, Cleaners tried to come in even though Do Not Disturb was on the door.The lack of ventilation in the rooms. gents toilet off foyer had no toilet paper and was dirty. Bedroom was very small and TV was just a small portable one but the room was clean and good value for money. Breakfast is adequate but not amazing -- solid 3 star. Rooms past their prime but comfortable. There was a make up stain on one of the towels. I am a non smoker and would have expected to be asked this when assigned my room. I was given a smoking room which smelled disgusting. I had to have a medical procedure the following day, but got very little sleep due to noise in the corridor and the noise of a bus revving its engine at 3.00am. When I mentioned this the following morning no attempt was made to offer me even a part refund. I have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and am very disappointed.

Important information to guests

When booking 5 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply. Dublin Bus operate a regular service from the airport into the city centre. The bus stop is straight across the road from the hotel. It takes approximately 30 minutes and costs EUR 2.70. The bus numbers are 41 and 16. These buses also will bring guests back to the airport and run every 20 minutes. Taxis from the airport take approximately 12 minutes to get the Skylon Hotel. Buses run to and from Dublin Airport to the Skylon Hotel every 20 minutes. The number 16 and 41 will drop you right outside our door. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
