Friendliness of the staff. Good clean rooms for a reasonable price. And the proximently of the place to downtown. I esp. liked the bus picking us up for the airport in the morning. You ought to leave word with airport info about that. The food was lovely, and the building felt very homely. The staff were friendly, as well, and the hostel was an ideal place to just sit back and relax in.

The card I was given would not work - I needed the staff members' key to override it. Also, one of my roommates snored and kept me up all night!. There are no electrical sockets in the room...cell phones can alternativle be charged at the reception overnight. The hostel is also not very central. When I arrived they said my booking had been changed to a different room type than I had booked. However after talking to the manager this was sorted out and I got the room I wanted. I'm not sure why it was originally changed without asking me though. Not many power plugs nor individual lights in the rooms. Rooms and showers a bit drafty, otherwise everything was great. Check-out is at 10am and at 9.30 you're awakened by a horrible loud-speaker message, it's like being in the army!. Too much noise at night. Woken up a few times in the middle of the night. Check out time at 10 :(. Bed was not made when i arrived and previous persons linen was on the bed. The cleanliness level really needs some improvement here (all places: rooms, toilets, shower area, common kitchen & dining room). The 8- people dormitory is equipped with two sockets only, so charging a mobile is challenging. Limited space for personal belongings. Poor breakfast (low food quality, broken toaster etc.). mistake made with booking, no room for one of us. room terrible. one glass and draft through wood, no sockets, cold. people open door in hall all night and makes noise. staff make announcements through intercom! self catering kitchen broken. showers cold and pieces of wall missing. AVOID!.
