Loved Bernadette who was so helpful in planning the next leg of our trip and in recommending hiking and restaurants. Breakfasts were excellent, room was comfortable and clean, and the house itself is beautiful. We loved the rural setting with grazing cows out the bedroom window and Galway Bay across from the house. The honesty bar is a neat idea also. This is a superb guest house just outside the lovely town of Ballyvaughan. Its has a beautiful view of the bay. The rooms are charming, and theirs was perhaps the best breakfast we have had in Ireland-which is saying a lot.

Everything. There is a beautiful view of Galway Bay!. That we were there for only one night!. Poor lighting - but this seems to be country wide. We couldn't find how to switch on the tv, but not really a problem as we were out most of the time. Nothing not to like though it's not within walking distance of restaurants. Nothing. Not within safe walking distance of Ballyvaughan but Taxis are available. Nothing. It is almost too perfect, that is, the interior design lacks that invitation to "relax here". The same is reflected in the team from top to bottom. It is too business like and that approach tends to compromise the essential warmth that characterises service and welcome. Breakfast was not included - we thought it strange that at a Bed and Breakfast you had to pay for breakfast. It was very nice but a ways into town to eat. This was the most expensive BnB we stayed at while in Ireland and we didn't get breakfast but the accommodation s and the view were very nice!.
