The hotel is fabulous. So comfortable, clean and has a really luxurious feel. The staff are so friendly, especially in the bar and restaurant. In fact I would say that the friendliness of the staff was one of the main highlights of our stay at the Meridien. The location is also fantastic, so central and within easy walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. Try their cakes in the bar!!.

It is a pity that the breakfasts are so expensive (25 Euros/person) andalso the drinks compared to the restaurants in the vicinity.Hotels are always more expensive than one would like but le Meridien compares favourably with other hotels in the city. -breakfast too pricey; the minibar was electronically controlled, but they charged more than the posted price for mineral water; minor complaint though. WiFi doesn't work in rooms. When we arrived our room had no towels and had a few minor glitches but the staff helped accommodate our needs. Expensive extras (minibar, breakfast, massages, etc).When we checked in after midnight, the front desk tried to convince us to take a "special offer" for a business suite-- though he was friendly it was not what we wanted to deal with that late at night. not much space in the rooms at all to unpack luggage. Very dissappointed that they charged for the coffee in the room and water at bedside that appeared complimentary since it was left far away from the bar and snack cabinet.During all my stay there were works on the street all around the hotel starting to make very strong noise as of 7h30-8h00 in the morning. It would have been good to be informed at least about it. Another point is that I specified that I'd like to have a non-smoking room with twin beds, but we got a smoking room with a big bed. They proposed to change the 2nd day but finally we stayed, it was OK. slight smell from drains. Wi Fi charges expensive Room Service was not available at 15.00 or atleast the phone was not answered. If I was Le Meridien manager I would not dare to sell Wifi connection so expensive and such poor quality.In comparrison to previous stays at the hotel I found that the room provided was much smaller, did not provide a welcome fruit basket, sewing kit or shoe polishing pad. I was charged 960EUR and not the 952EUR quoted by you as they calculated the cost in HUF and then converted. A small but annoying difference.
