Nothing was too much trouble for the excellent Staff. Reception desk and Concierge particularly helpful. Telephoned on our behalf for restaurant bookings etc. Great location just 5 mins walk from Star ferry Kowloon side, Nathan Road and Canton Road shops. Within Ocean Shopping mall. Took less than an hour from getting of the plane to being in our hotel room. MTR Airport express Kowloon station only a very cheap 5 min Taxi ride away. Breakfast buffet also excellent. Very strongly recommended .
all reviews » The hotel is in a very good location with easy access to Harbour City/Ocean Terminal, and it is not far from the MRT station. The rooms are nice, and the beds are big and comfortable, with lots of pillows. Connecting rooms were provided as we had requested. Moreover, all five of our reservations were upgraded. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They provide great service, especially Victor at the Front Desk. The breakfast buffet is also good. The service was excellent - nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable with lovely large bathroom. The hotel opens on to the Gateway mall, so you don't need to go out into the heat (or rain) to shop, and the mall goes all the way to the Star ferry terminal. Also the free airport shuttle to Kowloon station stops at the hotel, so it is very easy to get there. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent advice provided for dining options and day trips. We appreciated the upgrade to be able to use the Executive lounge. Room was well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Fixed price breakfast and dinner charge was too much so weent elsewhere or had room service for breakfast, which seemed unusual to get better value of room service v restaurant - however, I am an unseasoned traveller and so may have misinterpreted. The hotel could get relatively congested during check-in and check-out hours. Lobby is cramped and quite small. I was disappointed to find that the pool that was featured on the website is actually located in the Marco Polo Hotel a block away. Housekeeping staff couldn't speak english at all. There was no computer/laptop in the hotel room. You should add a computer like the one in Mira Hotel. We particularly informed in the booking that we need a large bed instead double bed, but when we arrived. The reception said they dont have the information in the booking, and the room is not available. We have to wait for 4 hours till the room are ready. our room was on the small side along with only one bedside table. Coffee & milk satchels were not replenished. Nothing particular. Being asked to wait for 11/2 hours for our room to be ready. There was nothing to dislike about our stay. We Emailed to confirm 2 days before and there was NO evidence of our booking. I had printed confirmation. That was very scary as the hotel was fully booked. We had a cheap rate thru Bookings we'd made 6 months earlier. Not have swimming pool. Not have kid room. The room does not come with breakfast. Not many bars/restaurants nearby. Wi-Fi didn't work so well in our room. Does not have its own pool. Price room expensive. reception was a bit congested and always too busy. The view from my room was an ally. Bed a bit too hard. Taxi driver had trouble with the name and finding hotel. Some of ur staff are not friendly. Nothing. price. Reception was so busy. We checked in around 3:45pm and was informed that our room wasn't even ready yet. Although they renovated their rooms already, the door leading to the connecting room was jammed, we had to wait for an hour for their maintenance personnel to have it fixed. Availability of room was a bit of a problem. We checked-in at around 11am and we got the key at 3 pm. In fairness to the hotel, it granted our request for late check-out but only til 1pm at the latest.
