Makedonia Palace is situated right on the seafront and next to Thessaloniki city centre and features two restaurants of high taste. All suites and rooms are lavishly decorated, including a satellite TV and free WiFi. The classically decorated units open to balconies with views of the city or the sea. Each features a well-stocked, bathroom with lavish amenities, bathrobe and slippers. Suites are individually designed. Interconnecting rooms are also available. The Main Restaurant is set right by the sea offering views of Thermaikos' sunset. There is also the seafront Navona, the Italian restaurant serving coffee, snacks and Italian dishes. The hotel also provides conference and meeting facilities, a gift and jewelry shop and a fitness centre. Free Wi-Fi is offered throughout. Guests can choose between the free, open-air parking space or the guarded, indoor at an extra charge. Makedonia Palace is located on Thermaikos Gulf, while the White Tower is approximately 900 metres away. Many of the city’s attractions, including the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki and the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, are in close distance.

The view: if you're on the right side (the West side), then there's nothing between the bedroom and the sea. The balcony: big enough for 4 persons, again, nice view to the sea The breakfast: big selection of good food (yagourt at 0%, 2%, 8%, 10% !!!! for instance) The swimming pool: although I used it only once (bad weather the other days), it was nice and clean. as close as 5star u will find in europe loved it staff wre great.

Very expensive poolside snack menu. Maybe an external painting, restyling?. prices on orders. We stayed in a junior suite for the price of a standard room, sincestandard rooms were not available.Small details in the room maintenance need more attention. I think that the room and the bathroom should be bigger. Only Sunday breakfast was very crowded and a bit unorganised. Not thatimportant though. the bathroom needs reconstraction, mostly the shower!. Gym facilities poor. Rooms weren't that impressive for a 5 star. a bad smell on the corridors. Little old style outfit. The room looked directly on to a 3 lane motorway and the noise was unbelievable. The heat in the room was oppressive and could not be turned down. The sockets would not accept adapters. The staff were sullen and not prone to smiling. I was charged for something from the mini bar even though I had nothing from the mini bar.

The hotels main restaurant is open from 07:00 until 00:00 and offers fine Mediterranean and traditional Greek cuisine with a modern twist. Watch the ships go by from the Yacht Salons & Restaurant, which is open from 12:00 until 00:00. The rooftop, Asian-influenced Cloud Level has been honoured with the Gourmet Award for Thessalonikis Best Lounge Bar Restaurant. It offers wonderful views and is open for drinks from 20:00 and for dinner from 20:00 until 01:00. The Lounge Bar (open from 08:00 until 00:00) specialises in martinis and is a long-standing, fashionable meeting point for high-profile figures and celebrities. By bus: take bus No 3 just outside the train station to bus station Faliro.

By car: exiting the train station on your left take Monastiriou Str for 300 meters until you reach Dodekanissou Str. There you turn right. Drive all the way to Nikis Ave where you turn left. Nikis Ave changes name right after the White Tower to Meg. Alexandrou Ave. Makedonia Palace lies on your right.

* Airport (15km)
By bus: take bus No 78 just outside the airport to bus station Faliro.

By car: exit the airport on your left to Georgikis Scholis Str. Drive straight-ahead to the town. The street changes name to Ethnikis Antistaseos Ave, Vassilisis Olgas Ave and Vassileos Georgiou Ave that bring you to the White Tower. There you turn sharp left to Meg. Alexandrou Ave. Makedonia Palace lies on your right.

By bus: take bus No 3 just outside the harbor to bus station Faliro.

By car: exit the harbor, turn right on Nikis Ave. and drive straight ahead until you reach the White Tower and Meg. Alexandrou Ave.
