I just spent six nights, May 22-28, 2013, at the Hotel Carbonaki, located in Mykonos Town. Its perfectly located in a quiet part of town yet only a minutes long walk, without hills, to the best food, fun and shopping the town has to offer. The hotel’s entrance is stylish, warm and inviting. I can’t say enough how wonderful the owners are. Mrs. Rousounelos mans the desk during the days. Staff members Ele comes in for the afternoon, and Alex at night. They are all wonderfully helpful and just del.
all reviews » After spending a few days in Mykonos this trip, and this being my 3rd time to Mykonos... I can honestly say I have not seen a better hotel on all of Mykonos. Its in the downtown walking district, but on the edge to easy access to whatever rental 'vehicle' you choose, mini-market right next door, quiet part of town so you're not up all night to partiers, super friendly staff and the desk is manned all day. For so many reasons, I would never stay at any other place nor recommend to friends to sta. Great hotel! Service was impeccable to suit all our needs. Staff were always extremely helpful and courteous to all questions we needed answered, especially for locations all around Mynokos. The position of the hotel was also perfectly positioned right in the middle of the town, making it easy to experience the wonders of Mykonos to its full capacity. The bus terminal to the beaches of Paradise, Super Paradise, Ornos, Psarou, Platis Yialos was only a 10 min walk away. The location was perfect as it was right in Mykonos heart of the city. Even so, you won't hear any noises at night or anything like that. Walking distance to most of the attractions in Mykonos.The whole setting of the hotel is romantic. As you walk out to the streets..its like walking into a movie set. The hosts were really helpful and friendly! Will definitely come back here again. Perfect place to stay on this perfect island!. Staff was extremly friendly!!! The owner organised free transfer from the boat to the hotel! 24 hours reception service! All issued were solved! Rooms were cleaned everyday! Pick up service from port but not include transfer when you left because not easy to find taxi from hotel(may be you can't find taxi at taxi center,I have to wait around 20minute). Pool is very chlorinated. Beds are a bit on the hard side. Costly. But that is the case for Mykonos at large. Rather unstable wifi (in room 116 i only had connectivity about 50 cm away from the door). Disappointing room - only one small window despite paying more for a superior room. Other cheaper rooms could have been a better choice. if you have knee problem, better to not take rooms on roof as there are plenty of stairs. Breakfast was a bit limited for the price.
