First of all, a very big thank you to the proprietors Parthenis and Elena. I stayed one week at the Parthenis Beach and it is just a fantastic place to relax. Their warm welcome and hospitality is very much appreciated. They want you to feel "at home". The hotel is extremely well situated; next to the private beach. In addition, it is worth going to the "Drossia" restaurant which also belongs to the same proprietors. The accent is put on fresh and top quality food; and this in a tasteful and ve.
all reviews » We are just back from a fantastic stay at Parthenis Beach. We booked into stay for an extra 2 nights it was so wonderful. The setting is amazing right overlooking a stunning beach with beautiful clear blue waters and those sun beds are just so comfy. Breakfast was yum and Eleni and her staff looked after us and our kids all so well. Thanks Ros. Wonderful place on the beach. It is a busy beach and during high tourist periods it would be too congested for us, but in May, it was perfect. The staff are wonderful, the pool area is amazing and the beach chairs are perfect (although in a busy tourist time it would be too many people too close for my liking...that is why we went in May). We were a young group of 4 friends and after 5 days we just wanted more. Excellent resturant on the beach, nice pool and comfy sun beds. The beach is amazing - clear water and near some water sport activities. To Eleni and the stuff - thank you! Kostas thank you too for being a funny part of our trip! 5 Stars for us!. We loved this place and the staff so much, we booked to come here again in August while still at the hotel! We stayed in the suite which is stunning. The staff for helpful and friendly. It is directly on the beach, with the pool and swimming area looking at the waves just a few steps away, and the "party" area of Malia just a few block walk. I would recommend to everyone!. Fine hotel: breakfast, lovely view over the sea, seats/sunbeds at the beach with very soft cushens, kind personnel, close to many touristic (ancient)places, like Iraklion, Knossos, ancient Malia, Agios Nikolaos, etc. You need a car, ofcourse. We had the beach facing room. Very nice view. The pool and beach are nice and easilly accessible. Very friendly staff and owners. They go out of their way to help you and make your stay nice. Malia town is within walking distance. Perfect location right on the sandy beach, stunning view at the Cretan Sea, peaceful atmosphere and friendly staff, comfortable sunbeds, good breakfast and lunch menu at very reasonable prices. Everything is perfect except.. Nothing. Nothing it was really all fab!. It had a large family group with many children who were in the pool a lot so if we were wanting to use the pool and enjoy it (we didn't, we prefer the ocean) it would have been frustrating as there was splashing and yelling...of course, they are children. Really?! Nothing!. Room was a bit narrow for a junior suite. Bathroom bit outdated, bit all-in- all, good quality for the price. Malia as a town: incredibly not interesting. In the summer Malia will be loaded with 18-25 years old people that have nothing else to do than drinking, feasting, having sex. It fits in the row of Chersonissos, Antalya, Benidorm (30 years ago), Rimini. We were on the first floor, nicer would have been if we could have had a direct access to the pool and beach. No tv channels in English. Wifi did not work but it seemed to be temporary problem. Bathroom was not up to the level of the rest of the room, but no big deal really. Not a bad comment about the hotel more of a warning. I went during the off season and the town was very empty. The hotel is 20 miles from the airport and the closest city. I would recommend renting a car. There is no elavator and bellboy.
