The location is excellent - right in Fira center close to everything, but not immediately on the tourist routes. Also important that the auto road ends very close to the hotel, so you don't have to drag your luggage for too long on the steep steps, unlike with many hotels hanging lower above the caldera. Numerous tavernas and restaurants around with excellent food. There is a spa hotel nearby where I went for treatments without paying their high rates. The view from the hotel is very good - you.
all reviews » We discovered tzeskos online, letsbookhotel.com. We were greeted by friendly staff who responded to our online requests for a room with an indoor spa. We were invited to view 2 suites, making a choice of a room with a spectacular view. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the facilities relaxing and the baggage handler was excellent! We would love to return to this destination one day!. It was all fabulous! The inclusive breakfast was delicious and offered much option. The staff were wonderful. They were so friendly, helpful and made you feel as if you were part of their family. The views from the hotel and our room were out of this world. We had an amazing room with our own personal outdoor hot tub with lots of privacy. - Beautiful view of the volcano etc. - Very helpful staff. I injured my back prior to arriving in Santorini and the hotel staff helped point me in the right direction of the hospital and a physio. Also, they were very useful at advising which tours to take and which not to take. - Very nice pool area. Good sized room and bathroom. Breakfast was good and the location was convenient for access to shopping and restaurants. Staff were very helpful. NB: none of the words above really describe Tzekos - "view" and "cliff top" would be more appropriate. Location is superb, very close to the picturesque centre of Fira. Breakfast is not their strongest feature - it was rather plain and the same every day. Also extending breakfast time till 11.00 would be good - sometimes you want to stay in bed longer while on vacation. Although some rooms have outdoor baths on the balconies, those are not totally private and can be seen from other rooms or hotel areas. Nothing bad about it, but some people may get disappointed about it. Nothing. - A lot of steps, but it is Santorini after all!. The stairs are an issue (I am glad we were not located at the lower levels!). There are some spoilers (rubbish tip) of an otherwise good view. No dedicated parking (but view in the area do have this). Nothing particular except for quite a few drops by hardworking donkeys in every path across the town though I agree with a huge efforts by town management to remove them as early as possible. No complaints. The bathroom door didn't close in our room so I had to place something against it while in use so the door didn't swing open.There was no fan in the bathroom and we had to keep the window open for ventilation and the lighting was minimal. The bar fridge rattled interrupting our sleep. minibar in the room should at least be filled with water. The basic rooms had more of a side view than expected. All the steps - of course!!!. Beds were a little bit hard, but not a major problem. lots of steps. The position of the A/C is not correct, so sometimes its hot in the room.
