  The attention to detail was very obvious compared with other hotels, eg coffee maker, complimentary welcome gift of wine and snack, provision of books about Germany in all languages. Character of decor was consistent, staff was very helpful and we were greeted with a glass of champagne as we checked in. Location was great - near two underground stations and not far from the river. - The room was excellent: very comfortable, quiet and clean - it even had a Nespresso machine! The staff were always friendly and helpful and made me feel very welcome. The whole place is very stylish.

  Lovely hotel, friendly and professional staff, good location, excellent air conditioning (the main reason I booked that particular hotel - August in Berlin can be stifling!).   The hotel was old fashioned but very well maintained and clean. The staff were very helpful and the location was excellent - we were only a 10 minute walk from the busy city centre but there was hardly any traffic around the hotel so the area was quiet. - Very easy to access the U-Bahn.   Great location near Alexanderplatz and easy shopping for groceries and supplies at the huge Alex shopping mall. Close to U-bahn and S-bahn stations, making travel around Berlin a breeze. Clean and modern style with a well appointed kitchen. Very attentive owners / staff that were there on time for our arrival and very responsive with all questions... what people say » before and during our stay. - The apartment itself is very nice: large, clean and functionally furnished for four people and is well equipped with radios, televisions, fast wlan etc. The owner Annette is utmost helpful helping you arrange anything you dare to ask, for us she even boutght tickets to the football match. We felt even more comfortable in Voltaire apartment than in the city itself.
