  Superbly efficient, rapid and courteous check in despite many guests ariving at same time. Many De Luxe hotels could learn from Mercure's staff and their work systems. Room (junior suite) was impeccable, plain but perfect for price, great large bathroom and extremely pleasant. Room service quick and efficient. Restaurant with spectacular view of the riverside and well-made breakfast. It's a musical one where the music is almost is everywhere, even in the elevaters. The desin of the room including the path is nice with a beautiful wall paint 4 the room. The room is provided with a smart screen where there is a list of new movies to be watched for fee. The room is also a good choice 4 married people specially the youth.   Stayed in Berlin for Depeche Mode at O2 World, so location was excellent, about 10 mins walk away. Also close-by are very good transport links. Was very pleasantly surprised how quiet and peaceful it was, when in our room. Another bonus was free Wi-Fi and also free to use terminals in lobby area with facilities for print outs. The area is a bit edgy with lots of night-life....but it still felt safe. Excellent facilities with a modern lobby. It felt more like a hotel than a hostel. Interesting historical building with an amazing courtyard in centre of the building. Double rooms had a/c which was greatly appreciated in a heat wave.
