We knew we had booked an apartment but hadn't expected it to be as nice as it was! It was very comfortable and warm and spacious. The apartment is just round the corner from the hotel and it is easy to go there in the morning for breakfast. It is also perfectly situated in the old part of the city and just a ten minute walk to the city centre, the Bahnhof and the Dom. Thoroughly recommended.

The apartment was clean and very big with good shower facilities and a nice big TV! The lady at reception was very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English.I'll definitely stay here again!. Location was perfect.The Hotel is in a beautiful location on the River and within a minutes walk to all the city has to offer including the cathedral and the main train station. The main office was difficult to find and it was locked up by 1700 when we arrived in town, so I spent 10 minutes outside knocking on the door.its a shame that to get a view you have to have a twin room as doubles are on back of building. There was plenty of space to allow for a double bed so not sure of the reasoning. A bit noisy in the morning...like lots of tourist places. My room was noisy when the windows were open - which was the case for the first two nights of my stay when the weather was extremely hot. I used earplugs to deal with the problem, so not serious. Too narrow stairs and no elevator. Difficult to find. thin towels. I prefer cotton or linen sheets rather than nylon!. The price; a little to expencive. We arrived and there was no body there, which caused confusion. The area seems to be more adult oriented in the evenings rather than kids. Nothing bad just an observation that there were not many kids around.Small lobby/breakfast room but acceptable. The room on the 3rd floor of the hotel was hot and stuffy with no airconditioning. The room was very small as well.(1) Problems with shower: water hot, then cold, then again hot, but never the right temperature. Difficult to take a shower. (2) My pillow was so stinky that I could hardly touch it with my face. (3) Several doors difficult or impossible to close. Bathroom was a bit tiny. We had difficulties to have water at the right temperature in the shower.No parking at hotel. Accomodation very good but we noticed a bit of an unpleasant odour, maybe just musty carpets otherwise excellent. It was a bit noisy, when other people were walking in the stairs. It could have a been a bit cleaner and the bed was on the soft side.Our hotel in Boppard, which was also on the Rhine, was cheaper and on the first floor. Also, I had said we were arriving with bikes, but there was no-one there at the hotel when we arrived. The elevator was too small for our buggy. There was no kitchen even though it explained itself as an "apartment hotel.". The distance between the apartment and the hotel is slightly far. We arrived 30 minutes prior to the check-in time, however, the room was still not vacated by the previous guest who claimed they didn't know they had to leave. This was not the fault of the hotel, but most hotels call the room at check-out to verify the room has been vacated. Now that I think about it, I don't think the room even had a phone!. The man who was on reception when we arrived was a bit brisk, but the other staff were all very helpful. One of the rooms in the apartment smelt a little strange. It was also a bit strange to have a fridge but no kitchen or sink or jug, but we managed. It would have been better if a customer has infant with them, try to putthem on the first floor. Consider the stroller in route.it is more comfortable if they have a wine grasses. yes, the bed linnin was smelling not clean, like sweaty, and used. Maybe it wasn't the linnin itself but the cushion below.Apartment not on the river front as suggested. Our apartment could have been much nicer. "Paintings" were jigsaw puzzles, lights were terrible.A bit run down. The washing machine was a bit dirty with no dryer.Apartment has no cooker. The lift is small (one person with a babystroller is all it can fit). it was dirty,towels in a very bad condition and the stuff was not so helpfully in the reception.

The house has not been changed since beginning of the century and it is situated beside the Deutzer bridge. Its foundation is older than 700 years.
