I loved my room. It was big, the beds were really comfortable and although the room looked a bit old, it was clean and I felt there like at home. The staff of the hotel was also nice and helped us as much as they could. I also can't forget the breakfast. For free breakfast it was truly amazing! Overall great value for money! The hotel was also close to an ubahn station and the Messe train station. I'm glad I choose this hotel and I really enjoyed my stay. :).
all reviews » The price was fantastic for it's Location we went to the Christmas Markets which was a lovley walk over the Rhine river (Bridge) about good 15-20 min casual stroll. And a fantastic Bakery near Hotel less 2min walk that you must try. Staff were very friendly and customer service as fantastic. We loved our stay at hotel. Expecially the Hotel was a place to sleep not to sit around in. This hotel was about a ten minute walk to the main shopping area, and also had many small restaurants right outside the hotel ranging from Italian to Indian foods. They staff was very friendly and very informative. The room was clean and the quite level was outstanding. For the price which included breakfast I would highly recommend this stay for the budget seeking guests. Can’t fault the hotel for the price, decent location, exceptionally high level of cleanliness, great breakfast (well worth the ca. 10 euros if you don’t have it included in the price). Little noisy with people moving about in the morning/evening and not all rooms/bathrooms look like the ones in the photos however, you really can’t grumble for the price. The location of the hotel is fantastic, very close to Deutz Train Station, and just ten minutes' walk to the city centre over a bridge with awesome views of Köln cathedral, churches, and promenade by the river side. The breakfast menu is varied and delicious. It wasn't noisy and the area had shops and restaurants, and you could walk easily to the city centre, just crossing the Deutzer bridge. Staff is friendly. And lots of people stay here so in morning at breakfast get up early so you avoid the full breakfast room which can me a bit tightly compact. Food was excellent though serving Colds. The parking around the hotel was slim to none. It took me about a half an hour to find parking and the nearest park house was 10 minute from the hotel. There was some problem with the calculation of fees. letsbookhotel.com indicated that everything was inclusive (tax, breakfast etc) but they charged tax & breakfast for additional cost and we had to ask them to pay it back later. The room is small for the cost but I guess it's normal compared to other hotels in the area. Nothing. The room wasn't as pretty as in the pictures. The TV was tiny and far away from the bed. It wasn't a double bed as it was shown, it was two beds pushed together, and there was a very uncomfortable piece of wood in between. It said no further charges and they charged us extra 12 euros for some tax. No kettle in the room, kettle is important. However I was allowed to take hot water from the kettle in the dining area which is convenient.Internet/wifi isnt working properly, I cant connect. we booked double room but got twin, very basic room but cleen. Was'nt happy to give a copy of my passport,have'nt been asked that in the other hotels I have been to in Koln, room was quite small but for one night was ok. No lift. No refrigerator. Many narrow stairs. Could really use with an elevator. Bed little bit noisy... We asked for a double bed but received instead two single beds joined together. Very hot bedrooms. Located in a very noisy street. The wifi connection didn't work at midnight, but it should have worked. It was just an accident. The room was bordering on scruffy, but clean and tidy. There were no general toillets in the common area. The only one available was the one in the room. Extremely small bathroom, and in the dining area they don't have enough tables and chairs for everyone so u have to wait until someone is done with breakfast... "double bed" consisted of two single beds put together. Have a parking problem. No elevators. The community restroom. I would have preferred a room with a rest room: shower & toliet. No elevator, but unfortunately that is usual in small hotels in Germany. Very small room and beds were old. Room was dated, but OK. No lift. Parking in the city center is always tough... wifi poor quality in the attic rooms. The door of my room was quite thin, and didn't keep out the noise of the corridor. It also moved slighlty (making some noise) every time another guest closed their door or the door on the corridor leading to the rooms. no elevator no parking on the street. Wifi was weak at best. :( Maybe it's due to our room location, but it kept losing signal. Our room was on the fourth floor and they don't have a lift. For people with big suitcases it could be very tiresome. The stairs!. Hotel was hard to find. Hotel doesn't have elevators. For some people steep steps may be of a problem. We did not care. Very small hotel. No hot breakfast. Top floor is 60+ steps up.
