The location was great, only 10 min walking till historical Check Point Charlie square & near to many other historical places. In Check Point Charlie you can get on “hop on hop off “tour buses if you want. Only 5 min walking to metro station where from there you can start using Berlin great public transport metro & tram connections. And about the reception staff they were very nice & helpful, we arrived early at 9:00 am in the morning they offered us having extra breakfast only 5 e.
all reviews » The receptionist was a bit rude to start with but later he was better. The receptionist later on the night was very nice. Even tho I didnt have the chance to visit the city, was very close to the citycentre and if I go back there, I may stay on the same hotel. Parking was 5euros per day if you buy from the hotel, but as I arrived late afternoon and left very early in the morning, i managed to find free parking 300metres from the hotel, just look around the residential areas if you dont want to . Convenient location for sight-seeing/shopping either on foot or local transport. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with a range of options. Spacious room, clean,tidy and quiet, traffic noise is noticeable but didn't disturb sleeping. Free wi-fi was a bonus for planning routes and excursions. Berlin welcome card made travelling effortless on all modes of transport and I got good value for money. Hotel has a great location and all city attraction is close.u station is only 5 minutes connects the hotel to the several touristic places.breakfast was so so and make you ready for the day with the varied selections.room service and cleaning was also good.hotel staff was helpful.overall we highly recommend this hotel. The location is good in that it is a 5 min walk to Spittelmarkt station, but the hotel really is in the middle of no where, with nothing really surrounding it (no bars, restaurants or anything). The staff speaks very little English. Nothing!. for the price nothing . My room was exactly by the street so..a lot of activity could be heard. But then, I booked late...and didn't get to sleep till morning. Nothing. Lift area and corridors a bit grim, in need of make over. Two male receptionists not friendly. Breakfast poor, run out of bread both days, not the room described in the picture either, very dull! Strange layout, rooms on floors 4&5 lift only to 4 not good if you have trouble with stairs! Also from offices below strong smell of smoking. only one chair for 3 people and in badroom isn't hook. The toilet flush mechanism did not work properly until we removed the cistern list. There was no towel-dryer, so necessery those rainy days in Berlin. Rickety lift (which never let us down). Our room wasnt very homely, or decorated. But thats fine!. There is some problem with the sewer of the shower room, as the water will stack up. a little bit too far to walk to main tourist attractions. not recommended for people who are old or infirmed. The wifi/internet is often not working. This is a big problem. If I was in Berlin for business of any kind this would be a big problem. I enjoyed my stay at lq, but this really needs to be fixed. I would recommend the hotel to other travellers, but I would very clear that the internet connection is often down. Very small elevator. Some of the staff not very friendly. No tea or coffee facilities in the room,saying that we could take a drink back to our room after breakfast. No telephone no English channels on TV. having to climb stairs with my luggage.
