Very traditional Berlin "old style" building. Large rooms with very highceilings. Free wireless internet. It's situated in a beautifulneighborhood. Not really a typical "hotel" but more like a very charmingpension. Having spent alot of time in Berlin some time ago, this "hotel'is a real "Berliner". Spacious room, excellent bed, nice and clean. Fiendly, helpful staff and a rich breakfast,. Comfortable,quiet, very close to S-bus.Room was very wide, spacious and clean. Hotel is located in a quiet,though central street. W-lan is completely(!!) free. Nice breakfast.Great value for money. The hotel was excellent but the fact that Charlotte Salomon was born in this house was also very important for us.Great location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms. Ventilation in the bathroom did not work.The hairdryer did not work efficiently and the shower water temperature was not constant. Also the breakfast coffee came out of a press-button machine and did not taste as good as freshly-brewed coffee does. They did not say anything about possibility to get breakfast in other form, when I told I have to leave a hotel earlier in the morning than breakfast time starts. It would be nice the were some fruits and vegetables for breakfast. And ventilation system in WC room could be better, because after taking a shower the mirrors were dewy for a long time.Rooom needed better reading lights. Some of the people at the reception on weekends didn't speak any english. We stayed in a three person room and it was great and roomy. However, my parents stayed in a two person room and it had a funny smell in it. I think each room varies in quality.Minor things - lighting was muted and shower discharge loose on slide bar. No parking places awailable around the hotel, although I expected someplaces reserved for guests. Parking, differents between the room with same price. A little noisy as poor sound proofing between rooms.Dark stairway did not give a good image. The room was a bit small.Smell of cigaretts in one of rooms (on 4th floor) . Way from room to reception and breakfast room goes through staircase. breakfast better to improve. Lack of phone in room. Room size. I did not like the fact the fact that the hotel was a converted house and having to use several keys and floors. Wireless internet did not work in room as signal strength too low, hadto also collect keys from nearby petrol station as reception closes at21:00 which is not good.We are given a twin room when we booked and paid for a double room. very cold room, very small space, not worth the huge amount of money at all. very smelly room, not at all sound insulated room door (to prevent the noise of other guests entering their rooms), too small breakfast room (had to wait for 15 min to get a table), very old and used furniture, leaking shower. No sound isolation between the room and the hall. Problems with the shower and bad smell both in the room and bathroom.Everything. The room was dirty and small, and situated near the kitchen and staff toilet, the breakfast was poor, the facilities were poor, the staff was unpleasant.
