Bear Inn Hostel & Appartment are set in a traditional Altbau (old-style) Berlin residential building with large rooms, high ceilings and stucco design. The apartments feature a fully equipped kitchen and the individual rooms offer shared bathrooms in the hallway.

Few minor points. Toilet did not flush properly. TV did not work properly with channels skipping. No Microwave (we have a baby and very difficult to warm his feeds without a microwave). Shower head kept slipping down so had to push upright every 30 seconds or so. Permanent residents also live in the building and on one night made a bit of a racket. Walls were also very thin and you could hear everything in the apartment next door. cleaning service not everyday.No bathtowels in the room, no kitchen as shown on the website, very narrow bathroom - could not even stand in it, very uncomfortable beds.

Despite their convenience to the city centre, the apartments are also close to several newly developed park areas where guests can go for a stroll or jog. Britzer Garten (garden) is just a 10-minute bus ride away and features a lakeside restaurant.

From Tegel Airport take the bus to reach Jakob Kaiser Platz underground station, take the train towards Rudow and exit at Grenzallee
By car:
- Approach via the A100 motorway and exit at Buschkrugallee
- Turn right twice
- The hotel is located on the Radwanderweg Europa (cycling/hiking path)
